That was not what I was expecting at all but I enjoyed it a lot. It’s feels like a circus act going through and criticizing all the horrible things people do. It’s is a bizarre and unique sounding album and it works so incredibly well. It is a lot of fun from start to finish. The delivery on some of these songs as well of the lyrics come off as very crude and offensive which plays into the theme I mentioned earlier in the review. The best example of that on this album is on Front ... read more
This is a top 5 hip hop album for me and my favorite 90s hip hop album (I guess that’s kinda a hot take). It’s easily one of the most consistent albums ever made. From start to finish there isn’t a single song that’s not a banger. Honestly while the first half does have some incredible songs like Butter, the back half of this album is just insane. Check the Rhyme, Jazz (We’ve Got), and Scenario are all some of the greatest songs of the 90s. Everything from the ... read more
I got the best song on the album up to a 97 you can thank me later guys
Haven’t watched this but I’m updating the dead by daylight ptb rn and it looks PEEEEEAAAAAAKKKKKK
This is a great album and I’m a huge tribe fan but this is actually so overrated
Edit: never mind I was wrong this albums amazing
Solace WISHES it was this. This is one of the most haunting songs I’ve ever heard. I never knew hip hop could get so atmospheric and dark. I can definitely understand why this is a top ten single of all time and it’s easily top 3 songs of the year for me.
So my old review was good but I don’t think a joke review really fits an album that’s so important to me and my experience with music. This was the album that got me into hip hop. Before listening I was pretty much strictly a rock fan that liked a few R&B albums. I had tried to listen to a few hip hop albums like Tpab and Atrocity Exhibition (someone recommended it to me) but the genre never really interested me as a whole. I was always pretty much the only person in my friend ... read more
So this is probably my least favorite song of all time, not only because it sucks ass, but also because it’s tied to an incredibly embarrassing memory I have that I will not be sharing on the internet because it’s too embarrassing. So yea fuck this song and fuck my second grade self for doing that thing I’m not gonna say here. Foxes just scream btw if your curious.
That climax at the end had me rethinking my relationship with music bro shits so beautiful
This feels like I’m getting shot in my ear but like in a good way
Albums I need to listen to to finish the AOTY top 100 - #6
I wanted to like this so bad but I feel like I’m missing a lot here. I genuinely don’t think I listened to the right version bc this doesn’t really even resemble a song at all. The closest it got was a short, maybe 30 second verse at the beginning that was really just ok. The instrumentals just felt soulless and like they were just there because earl wanted to tell his story through a “song”. It does have ... read more

This score is purely for the production and my very limited understanding of the albums message. I thought it was very well produced and had some great beats especially the songs that sample Glory Box by Portishead. I don’t really have much else to say about it other than that, at least until I decide to go through the lyrics, which I’ll try to do eventually.
