Same shit, 3 new songs.
Up from the Bottom is very good, though really feels like more deja vu, just like with the main album.
Unshatter is...fine.
Let You Fade is amazing. Another song that stands out compared to everything else, and genuinely feels like a heartfelt tribute to Chester, as much as the band wouldn't openly admit to saying that.
UFTB: 7/10
Unshatter: 5/10
Let You Fade: 9/10
Overall: 6.5/10 --> 7/10
Another spectacular album from 2001? Who would’ve guessed?
Discovery is THE DEFINITIVE Daft Punk album. Dare I say, it is THE DEFINITIVE house record in general. This album simultaneously sounds of its time and ahead of its time.
I was a huge fan of Aphex Twin’s Selected Ambient Works album, and I gotta say, I feel similar vibes with this album, except this album is much more straightforward than something you’d put in the background.
The vocals, whether they be chops or ... read more
Yeah, this one is awesome.
hypochondriac is my first full length hyperpop album, and I gotta be honest, it was not what I was expecting, but I still think it's an amazing album nonetheless.
Brakence has this weird, almost John Legend type voice, which you might either really like due to its vulnerability, or really hate it due to it having some pretentiousness in its tone. Personally, I side with liking it, but I can see the other side of the fence as well.
The electronics have varying ... read more
Ah yes, Black Eyed Piss, the legendary group that made absolute masterpieces such as My Humps, Boom Boom Pow and Imma Be.
As much slander as TBEP get (and honestly, it's understandable why), Elephunk is a decent album. This was the time period when Black Eyed Peas actually kind of tried making good songs, and actually succeeded some times.
The singles are all amazing. Let's Get It Started (yes, I am fully aware what the original name of the song was), Shut Up and Where is the Love ... read more
I would be lying if I said I wasn't deadass confused by this album on first listen, cause, well, I am.
Rodeo is considered by many to be an absolutely seminal record for trap: ambitious, brave, unique, and mad iconic.
And to be honest, I can totally see why this album is so beloved. This sounds nothing like I've heard before, and the hallucinogenic vibes I'm getting with this album are so well done.
I'm not a huge fan of everything here: Oh My Dis Side and Flying High ... read more
If you're a metal elitist or want to argue that Bad Omens suck because they're not true metal, well I highly advise you to click off this review and look for something else.
So, Bad Omens are one of the Big 3 in the alternative rock/metal scene right now in terms of popularity, alongside Spiritbox and Sleep Token. And I have to say, this is just as awesome as the aforementioned two.
The fusion of electropop and rock/metalcore is done pretty seamlessly here. It's not perfect but ... read more
As a person who has some nostalgia from the singles of these songs, I thought it might be a good idea to check the full album out.
Well, all I can say is that, it's a mixed bag.
The singles are still great, and really fun to listen to. That said, after Peacock (which is terrible), the album takes a serious drop in quality. It really feels like most effort was put into the songs at the beginning of the album, and the 2 songs at the very end of the album. The entire middle stretch is just ... read more
The second installment of the POST HUMAN series certainly had me hyped, so how do I feel about it?
Well, it's complicated. On one hand, as you can clearly tell by my rating of this album, I think it's great. Some incredible songs and genre fusions with metalcore, hyperpop, industrial, you name it. Songs like Kool-Aid, n/A, LosT and DIg It are definite standouts as well.
With all that being said, I do think this is a noticeable step down from POST HUMAN: SURVIVAL HORROR. The album ... read more
It's easy to say Coldplay are radio hit chasers or overrated, and to be honest, I was one of those people. Then I heard Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends, and boy, I have come to understand I was wrong.
This album is a quintessential pop/folk/rock album and it really does take the best of each world and treads that line perfectly.
The writing is excellent, with some songs being really dark and pessimistic, but the others really being optimistic and sort of uplifting in many ... read more
This is not the 7th best album of all time.
That being said, it's definitely at the very least, fantastic. Pablo Honey was fine, The Bends was great, but for LP 3, Radiohead went above and beyond, and never looked back.
OK Computer is as intelligent as it is captivating. You can definitely hear traces of what Radiohead was in their previous LP, but it's facelifted with some dazzling electronics, pristine production, incredible guitarwork, phenomenal vocals, and an absolutely ... read more
This album moved me.
This is an album I have had saved for quite a while to be honest, but haven't checked out until now.
And...I don't know what to say.
Well, I do know where to start. The instrumentation and musicianship, while not flashy, works very well, and Mitski's voice is absolutely incredible: soothing, and also haunting.
Now, all of this doesn't amount to a 100 score automatically for me. So, what gives?
It's the lyricism. Every song has its own story, ... read more
Maybe a hot take, just maybe. But honestly, of the projects I've heard which released in 2026 so far, this is by far the most exciting.
Vylet Pony goes a bit more rap and hip-hop here with this mixtape, and honestly? I think it works very, very well.
All these songs sound super fresh and exciting (well, most of them at least). I think the first 3 songs, the fantastic Title Track, and the closing duo of this mixtape are definitely highlights, but the rest of the album is still really ... read more
This is one of the weirdest albums I have ever heard.
Getting Killed is all over the place, and nothing at all seems conventional. Lead singer Cameron Winter sounds like a mix of Thom Yorke + Aaron Lewis + way more alcohol than both of them combined. He is talented, don't get me wrong, but it's just a very weird sound.
Sometimes it works, like in the absolutely devastating song Au Pays du Cocaine, which is just an absolute gut punch to the feels. Other times, well...he sounds pretty ... read more
This is a great electropop record.
Definitely on the upper half of the 2026 releases I heard so far, but I'm not really sure if that's saying much. What I will say though, is that it's a very well constructed album, with some really great songs, for the most part.
Some of the samples, vocal chops, and overall soundbytes used for these beats are fantastic, and it really does help construct some fantastic songs like the opener, which has plenty of twists and turns and still ... read more
EDIT: 70 ---> 80
I get y'all now. I see the merit in this album a lot more, and many of these songs have definitely grown on me.
(ORIGINAL REVIEW)
I might be in the anomaly that does not enjoy this album quite as much as the majority does.
It's a very good album, don't get me wrong, and there are some raw, intense moments in here that absolutely are a gut punch to the feels. Songs like I Have a Problem and the closer: Sick and Disgusting, are insanely painful to listen ... read more
Tool fans are batshit insane. Lateralus is a perfect album. Two things can be right at the same time.
Lateralus is precise, progressive, but also very exciting at moments. It strides the perfect line between being slow and soothing in many ways, but also having enough to keep you alert. All of that while adding some perplexing elements to the songs as well.
Maynard James Keenan is of course, one of the best vocalists I have ever heard, that kind of goes without saying. Sometimes his voice is ... read more
This one's good.
While Count Your Blessings is certainly...an album, Suicide Season is the album that shows us that Bring Me The Horizon have something really promising up their sleeves.
Everything on this album is improved. The production is improved, Oli's vocal range is WAY better with all the screams and growls and singing he's able to pull off, the songs are much more distinguishable, as compared to CYB, where the songs are basically exactly the same, and overall, the band ... read more
This is the musical equivalent of a stroke.
A very well made and brilliantly wriiten one, mind you. The riffage is unique, very unusual, but certainly discernible. Dimitri Minakakis has some visceral and incredibly heavy screams, and just all round, this is a fantastic package.
You have these absolutely fierce manic attacks, usually towards the start of the album. However, ever so often, you'll find some really calming and soothing clean instrumentals, which either calm you down or ... read more
Basically You Fail Me, with an extra track, and WAY better production.
Honestly, that's more than enough to boost the score of this album. I honestly would place this above Jane Doe with the updated mix and Wolves at My Door, which is a 10/10 song in my opinion.
My opinion is still mostly the same, but improved because of the much better production. If you wanted to enjoy You Fail Me more, but couldn't because of the production, definitely give the Redux a chance.
Converge's first full collaboration album, and that too with a fantastic vocalist like Chelsea Wolfe, this is bound to be amazing, right?
Well, it kind of is, but I do definitely see room for improvement. For starters, the production, atmosphere, and overall sound is fantastic, as you would come to expect from Converge. The Chelsea Wolfe part of this package is awesome too. She truly is a phenomenal vocalist, and it really brings together the gothic and haunting vibe this album is going ... read more
