I could just write a joke review about this album because it's funny to meme on this band (especially because of their newer music), but I'd rather keep it serious just because of how much I enjoy it. This album has a bit of everything. If you want a nice, catchy alternative rock tune you got Here Comes Your Man. If you want some more hard hitting rough around the edges songs, you got Debaser, Dead, etc. If you just wanna hear Black Francis sound like a lunatic just listen to Crackity Jones. This album has a variety of upbeat tunes that are all consistently good.

I don't think this EP is bad to be honest, I think people just compare it to Loveless which yeah, might make it seem bad. Hell I could definitely find myself listening to No Place to Go and Sandman Never Sleeps IF THIS DAMN EP WAS ON SPOTIFY SO I DIDN'T HAVE TO GO ON YOUTUBE. Seriously though, I think those two songs are catchy while the middle two are just eh. Sounds a lot like Psychocandy except the vocals really just don't work if I'm gonna be honest. It's like Isn't Anything but better, and it achieves this with less songs which is pretty cool.
