As a Charli fan, I can proudly say this doesn’t live up to the expectations the singles did but it’s still so good nonetheless! She did that, and all for a boring movie! Gag it Charlotte!
As someone whose followed Melanie since her Cry Baby era, she now finds it incredibly hard to make those perfections like she did back then. She feels so watered down when she had the perfect opportunity to become an alt goddess. I just wish it wasn’t so revolved around characters. I do appreciate her perspective on political issues tho. Just weird on how someone who has so much potential continues to allow herself to flop.
Caroline finds it impossibly hard to make a bad song and that can’t be said for a lot of artists in the music industry nowadays who manage to make at least 1 bad song per record. This is perfection the whole way through, paired alongside her exquisite vocals you do have to wonder how she isn’t up there with household names, but then I suppose she’d lose her flair and be forced into boring mainstream pop.
sorry I gagged the whole way through her vocals and everything just Ughhhhh love her so bad she’s adorable
Slayyyter couldn’t really miss on this one, from its perfect singles to its even better tracklist, she knew she has this one in the bag from the beginning. This truly was her Hail Mary and that Hail Mary turned out to be the best thing to do. CONGRATS SLAYYYTER!!
I cried so fucking hard. Love you Lizzy and hope you find peace queen.
Using dance-pop and club classics to transform her feelings into word poetry and almost vomit shows how Charli isn’t afraid to grow as an artist even through some of the darkest times humanity faces.
She really took how transcendental she felt on Solar Power and transformed it into Pure Heroine’s and Melodrama’s love child. The album is unique and different from her other works and proves to the listeners that Lorde as an artist is consistently evolving with her works every time and she isn’t afraid to try something new.
As far as an R&B album can go I would consider this one of the best sounding ones ever.
Fun little dance album that I really love with some deep cuts like Te Mata. Kali constantly evolves her music into something new and doesnt tie herself down to just one sound in any of her projects.
Like I really don’t wanna keep glazing over Kali Uchis and saying best albums I’ve ever heard but when you have hits like ‘After The Storm’ and Flight 22 on the album, I’m finding it really hard to say this isn’t a perfect album.
Kali Uchis showcases a new raw for her - it’s all about the people in her life and being grateful. She shows it in a way that’s so unique. I’ve considered myself a fan since around RMIV release- the sound really captures some of her older music but in this new version.
Pop Perfection, a step up from her sophomore album THINK LATER, McRae ends on more and more to this album with each track.
Favourites: Revolving door, Dear god, Signs
Oh Slayyyter, Oh Slayyyter what can we do, you’re no different to pop girl royalty like Britney, this shit cooked and it’s all thanks to you.
This shit slaps so hard and I’ve cried to it so many times. Word cannot describe a 10/10 album like this.
A shift in the right direction - it takes on the personality of poets from the generations to create tracks on real life issues such as climate change to make a new change for Hozier.
ok so really controversially, I love Gracie Abrams, I’m sorry. (Pun intended) but like songs like Let It Happen and Good luck Charlie rock my core and I’m gonna continue loving her! This definitely stepped down from Good riddance for me but still incredibly good songwriting wise!
