Ok I do think it’s pretty good, especially considering I thought their last album was like a 4/10, but I’m not totally in love with it and here’s why. When the songs sound good they are really good, but it always takes a little while to live up to that goodness and that’s on a track by track basis. This is the first true metal album I’ve been able to actually enjoy in a hot minute. I’m not a cool enough person to be able to listen to something like knocked loose, though I can listen to some other stuff occasionally. Yo wtf people hate this one?? I genuinely think this is one of the best things the band has put out, which is insane considering the rest of SZNZ kind of sucks ass. I seriously come back to this all the time it really does feel like some classic Weezer to me. If you think basketball is a bad song then I’m sorry but we can never be friends.

Stories of Old would go crazy as a rhythm heaven track.
The only Depeche Mode song I knew before going into this was People are People, but honestly every track here is very solid. Industrial pop is a very fun idea and it’s executed pretty well here.
