If UA sounds like they do on Dizzy for whatever project they have planned, we may be so back
legit may be the best they've sounded in YEARS
This project makes even less sense in hindsight, with Full Court Press coming out only a few months after and being KRIT's old style to perfection. Why did he feel like he needed to reinvent for this album then just swap back? It's not bad but like, it's just alright.
Wow, Freddie Gibbs made another good album? Next thing you'll tell me is Lebron is good at basketball, or that Daigo is still better than me at Street Fighter in his 40s!
I remember hearing that some people were worried about this album because Fred was going more melodic when... he's done melodic tracks since his old mixtape days. Shouldn't have ever been a concern, especially because a lot of the deep cuts aren't even melodic (some are like Dark Hearted, which is super nice). What else is ... read more
I don't know why everyone called this album mid when it came out, this is so slept on when it's really good. Kirk's ability to make vibes on this album is really nice, wish he was able to keep it up on his future works. But legit check this out, it's super nice.
Best Tracks: Start Running, One Knight, 5 Minutes, Dead Friends
Been 2 and a half years since an album drop from Anon, but yea it was worth the wait.
Inspired by the Raider Klan/underground Florida rap style, Anonymuz has proven to be one of the most consistent and versatile artists to do the style. His last full length LP, There Is No Threat, is genuinely great and one of the more slept on projects from 2019. He's a very potent rapper and lyricist, his flows are great and the way he presents the concepts in his verses feels super fresh. He transitions ... read more
It's not bad but entirely way too long. Duke Deuce just doesn't seem like an album artist tbh, his singles and hits go hard but he struggles with putting projects together.
Not as good as Everything's for Sale, but Boogie still shows a lot of the qualities that make his music strong. Unique voice, solid pen game, good vocals, and he def knows how to make good sounding songs. I really like the more soulful production he picked for this project, it fits his style very well (this may just be my bias talking, love me some soulful sample production). Just wish he dropped more tbh, he is not established enough to drop a 30 min album every 3 years.

This shit's so inoffensively average that it lowkey bothers me. It's there? It sure is one of the albums of all time.
The last song with 21 Savage is hard, peep that. The rest can stay tbh.
this album is so weird
Ok so, Goldlink gets a feature list that's genuinely all over the place (some of these dudes literally have no Spotify history where tf did he find them), puts it over either experimental or minimalist production then only puts a terrible filter over his voice and leaves all of the other vocals normal? Like, I respect him for trying something different, but it sounds so bad. Goldlink basically ruins every song he uses the filter on because it just ruins his vocals, and ... read more
Very respectful posthumous for one half of one of the greatest rap groups of all time. Great vibe music from top to bottom, its well produced and features vocals and verses that you wouldn't even know it's a posthumous with a blind listen.
The main thing you should aim for with posthumous albums is imitating the vision and career of the artist you're featuring, making something that they would make if they were alive. This album does that very well, Phife's always been super charismatic, kinda ... read more
Alright, so I didn't know this came out until right now and... why are we not talking about this album more? You get 3 of the best underground rappers of the past decade, put them on some solid stoner vibe production (which they're all REALLY good at) and they all perform up to their standards. This feels like it came right out of the early-mid 2010s when all of these guys were only dropping bangers, it's very nice how consistent this project is. All of the solo songs are good (Fly the Coop is ... read more
kendrick lamar more like ilikemendrick lamar hahaha i crack myself up
i really like father time that song makes me feel happy :)
I didn't know this tape even existed until today and uh, yeah, didn't really need to know this existed because most of this tape is super forgettable. Here's some thoughts:
-Stick goes SO HARD THIS SONG IS NUTS. Kenny Mason and Sheck Wes are both great picks for features on an upbeat trap banger and this song is gonna go crazy in the gym or on the aux. Great opener, to say the least.
-All the Earthgang songs on this thing... kinda suck. I'm a huge Earthgang guy (Mirrorland was top 5 of 2019, ... read more
This is dope as hell, surprised it wasn't on the site before this. Great production (mostly self produced which is super impressive), Kipp Stone can really rap and goes off on a varied set of beats and topics. It's not the most original concept (just going through his experiences and life growing up), but the way Stone delivers his life story is very intriguing throughout. He knows that he's imperfect, but that's not presented as a bad thing, and it makes really easy to connect and understand ... read more
Pusha T is saving us from ever having to think about Jesus is King again with a 2nd Clipse reunion proves he's a man of the people. And why not just, casually make a better song too!
Thanks Push, always knew I could count on ya. Oh yeah this album's good or something, which should surprise absolutely no one.
