Oh my goodness he's back! Big fan of the album cover, did you know that the bananas we eat today are so genetically modified that the potassium content within in them could hospitalise a victorian child? Neither did I, because I made that up. I found this album on one of those "Highest Rated Albums Of Each Year" youtube videos, and the rankings where taken from this website! So you can imagine there was a bunch of pretentious bullshit in there but this one was a banger. It's ... read more
I was told to listen to this album and my goodness did it not disappoint. I thought I knew 70's rock but clearly I'm a fraud as I did not recognise these guys. Incredible album, it reminds of the Beatles if they never fell off and did weird drug music and instead managed to successfully transition to 70's rock. Incredibly groovy, and will definitely be listening to more from these guys. Thank you Mr Rex.
The reviews on this are so harsh and for what? I used to watch this guy throw up milk and pimp out wheelchairs in a pink bodysuit, now he's dropping unfathomable bangers. If only my parents birthed me like, 2 months earlier so I was old enough to watch him perform at laneway in 2023, but coordination never was their strong suit, hence the divorce. Solid album, a few misses but not a 63 rating worthy few misses. Test Drive was my favourite song mixed among others. Thanks Frank.
Bob Dylan, more like Bob Killin', it! They say you should never trust a man with two first names, but my distrust comes from him casting Timothee Chalamet in his biopic. However, we digress. This album is very enjoyable, although some of the lyrics feel like he's just saying shit, like it's not bad but cmon' man wrap it up. Like a rolling stone is a bundle of joy to listen to, but my personal favourite is From a Buick 6, don't know what it means or what the song is ... read more
Wow, dishevelled and discouraged are most certainly two words of cynical meaning starting with D. Would I use them to describe the album? Maybe, just maybe. However while a gruelling cloud of uncertainty looms the opening statement, what isn't uncertain was how disappoint the album was. I remember when I was 2 (i do not), and hearing the Gummy Bear song for the first time, excited to look for it in stores on November 13th, and look I did. While I may have found the physical album, I never ... read more
If you were to ask me what my favourite part about this album was, well I'd have to say the shirt my Aidan bought me from their concert in Brisbane. Now if you were to ask me, why buy a shirt for an album you only rated a 75? Uhhhh 3 words, 4 Da Hoez. This album is solid, has some good highs, not that many lows just like, I dont know, above average mostly. My favourite song is one that I wont tell you name of because I enjoy gatekeeping. Thank Mr Girl. Or Mrs Girl I'm not too sure ... read more
Fun fact: Did you know tame impala is just one guy. Incredible album, lots of fun memories listening to this album and the production quality is incredible. This is very impressive, especially consider tame impala is just one guy, which some of you might not have known. Nangs is the closest you can get to that state of mind without actually inhaling it, apparently, and Eventually & New Person, Same Old Mistakes are both truly incredible pieces of work. What makes it even more impressive is ... read more
Yeah no this easily gets a 100 and if you think it deserves to be rated anything less then unfortunately you are stupid and wrong. It's not possible to get sick of this song, or to overplay it. It is exactly what you expect from a collaboration of this magnitude. My ideal vinyl would just be this song played 40 times, regardless of quality. Unreal listening experience every time.
Almost died in the moshpit to this album, thankfully my huge muscles managed to keep me safe! Sorry to the 14 year olds who got trampled but the game is the game. This is easily his second best to Astroworld, hard to beat that work of art, however it probably remains the easiest to listen to. The album cover freaks me the f out, excuse the language, at least the one on vinyl does. My personal favourite is modern jam, always has been however I honestly think there are at most 2-3 skips on a bad ... read more
The weeknd, when I head your voice in Sydney I started ovulating. As a straight male, if you asked me to come back to your penthouse in Crown, I would drop my pants and run. I would pay money for you to serenade my with your voice. I love when you do freaky shit on stage that you just don't need to do. Please take me. Album was alright.
I enjoyed it, steve from stranger things has truly turned his life around. It's a fun, funky album that sounds like walking down the street on a busy sunny day. It's not like, ground breaking, but its a fun listen and I enjoyed his set at listen out. I don't know if he played these songs I was only there for the one on tik tok.
I'll never forget where I was when I heard the HUMBLE beat drop for the first time. I was in year 7, doing something at some particular moment listening to the song. Ok I guess I was wrong, however clearly it was an important moment as this album stuck with me since then. Not a fan of the 5 year hiatus he took when he dropped this album, but whateva. This easily remains his most commercial album, and no I don't count the slop that is GNX. It has range from all his previous projects ... read more
Holy guacamole, did Mr Lamar go brazy on this track, to speak colloquially. Every song is a banger, and if I can refrain from not keeping it a real for 1 momento, this album might just be my favourite from him. "BuT WhAT AbOuT TpAb?", shut up kid go back to Anthony Fantano on tik tok. The features and production quality is one thing, however the story being told and the flow he raps in to tell it is another, it almost makes me forget he's 5'1 and has a voice that sounds like ... read more
I found out mid-album listen that I fumbled the fine shyt who put me onto this website. Safe to say I got the full listening experience. However, doeth pain not further ones perception and understanding of art? Is to suffer not to live and enjoy? This will be my last Radiohead review for now, as I don't want to become insufferable. The album was good and what not but this review is more about me. I'll rank it like, my second favourite album from them. Incredible songs, and all that ... read more
She keep hitting me up on tha radio, but all I want is da head, OK Computer. Lot of Radiohead albums in a row, some might say that's aura loss, I say get a job. This album is my favourite from Radiohead, because it gives me a reflective feeling of melancholy. Truly beautiful songs, from the piano to the guitar to the other series of instruments I can't be bothered listing. I was immersed the entire experience which is rare, as the microplastics in my brain have depleted my attention ... read more
Wow, I truly am taken-a-back by this album. I would say I'm in rainbows, but truthfully I am not, I like women. However, I fully support all those who don't. But I cannot support those who hate In Rainbows. The opening wasn't great I wont lie, at least not the start of the song, but holy smokes did they turn it around fast. Only 1 song that wasn't me, but I will definitely be adding this to the late night playlist.
Unequivocally, the lonesome mule howled out in an acoustic screech. This record resembles that screech, one of sheer acoustic beauty. I don't usually listen to Alice in Chains, however without asking my friend added it to the listening queue, and I went with it. Rather glad I did, some truly incredible tracks here. Not rating it higher as personally this type of music isn't really for me but I can absolutely appreciate the high production quality across the board here. Once again only ... read more
Uhhhh yeash. 5 years and for what... Songs weren't that interesting, and differed heavy from the leaked versions everyone was a fan of. Some really good features from artists there. Skepta is always incredible, and Future was really good. Travis Scott's verses were also arguably quite good, but were used in such a boring way that it made me unenthused listening to them. Then there was Kendrick Lamar... I'll glaze him as much as the next guy but holy fuck all he did was yap on the ... read more
Despite the low score, this album will remain one of my absolute favourites to listen to in terms of enjoyability. It pushed boundaries, and collaborated with incredibly talented artists to create some of the most unique sounds I have ever heard. I genuinely don't even have anything witty to say, it is just so worth the listen. So many unique sounds with incredible bangers. Not all songs are a hit though, that's why it's ranked how it is. Instant Crush and Get Lucky were blasting ... read more
