I didn't realize this was about Roger Waters until I actually listened to it. I thought it was about the Berlin Wall. Great.
Heck yeah. I love these kinds of albums that don’t take themselves super seriously and just have one big overarching theme that is apparent in every song (like TLOP). Great.
I'm not really into Hard Rock or Grunge, but I'm trying to get into it more and god this album was something. I've known and loved Black Hole Sun for years, but hearing the rest of the album in context is just another experience. From start to beginning, besides maybe one track, it was great. Amazing.
I felt it from the first embrace I shared with you. Amazing.
I'm my mama's boyfriend, I'm her little husband, I was the man of the house when it wasn't. Amazing.
For my 100th review, I present my 10th perfect rated album. Genuinely so good. I never really heard of this album, or Car Seat Headrest until a friend told me about them, and given he had it rated as a perfect score, I listened, and it did not disappoint. Perfect.
It really pains me to have this album at a 75 because I had such high hopes, but here we are. To start, the beats and production on this album are genuinely some of the best I’ve heard, and that’s what mainly carries this score. HOWEVER, the vocals are just terrible, and added with the mediocre lyrics, it just results in an overall ok listening experience. I liked some of the JPEG albums, so I obviously came to this with high hopes, but it’s just big disappointment, and ... read more
Very, very good. Sheep is by far my favorite, but Pigs on the Wing(s) 1 & 2 just kind of seem out of place. Still, very good though. Amazing.
Very, very good instrumentals. This was the first Bjork album I've ever listened to, and I will say hearing the electronic sounds of this album and realizing its from 2001 makes me like this better than other electronic albums from the time like Kid A, which I say as a major Radiohead glazer. Amazing.
God this album is good. I didn't expect it, but genuinely might be one of the best pop-esc albums I've listened to, definitely the most laid back and relaxed. There is nothing wrong with this album, and the lower rated songs on here are just because they are interludes and people suck. Perfect.
This is good, but I'm just gonna say it: for a ten track LP this should not be two hours. The deluxe version of Donda is 32 tracks long and only nine minutes longer. Now, does that hold it back slightly in my regards? Yes, but not by much. It was still an enjoyable listen, and now I know that my little short-attention-span-dopamine-short-form-content brain needs to listen to more "action packed" albums, so to say. Great.
As they were released around the same time, I can safely say that I like Getting Killed a lot better than this, but by no means does that mean this is a bad album. It's pretty good, and the instrumentals, lyrics, and overall tone of the album don't disappoint. Great.
Very, very good. This is the first Geese album I've listened to, and it does not disappoint. There is basically nothing wrong with any of these tracks, and each of the songs are good in their own way. Amazing.
Goated soundtrack for a game that genuinely has one of the best lores OAT. Amazing.
Sunday Morning is goated, that’s all to say. Amazing.
