The cadences, flows, and production(LOVE YOU NO ID) are all great. Saba will never fail at making a great project.
After hearing Yebba feature on hit after hit, I figured I'd give the album I try. Vocally, there's almost a bardic/tavern(if that makes any sense lol) quality that makes the listening experience cozy and enjoyable. Honestly, the features felt unnecessary, especially A$AP. Distance is, in my opinion, the best song on the album, but some other great ones include the intro track, October Sky, etc. Overall, a good listen.
I think it's close to an above-average project, VIOLA BANGS, but other than that track, I don't revisit the others not that some of them aren't solid. I will say I'm excited to see what she could do with a more full-length project, as she's relatively unique to the K-pop industry. DROP MORE SHIT IM EXCITED TO HEAR MORE.
Not a dubstep EDM head, but Skrillex is a hitmaker, nostalgic, so I had to check it out. I think it's like a TikTok album in the best way possible. It's high energy, transitions are smooth, keeps you captivated, and "WE LOVE CASTING SPELLS"
To describe this album experience, it's like the dude next door has a teether ball pole outside and a cozy home life. And while it sounds like I'm trashing it, I thought it was a decent debut with solid vocal performances and cozy at-home tracks that anyone can enjoy.
High energy banger and then filler and then another high energy moment and then another filler/bloat. Did we need 22 tracks (HELL NO). Did I take away some tracks (YES). DO SOME OF THESE TRACKS MAKE ME WANNA BEAT UP SOMETHING (YES). But seriously below below-average filler-filled album with the occasional cool track.
I think it's a good album to keep it simple; PinkPantheress doesn't need to be overanalyzed; she makes songs that just hit right at home. I'm not gonna sit here and glaze and say it's perfect, but it's catchy and gets you moving.
FEELS LIKE FALLING DOWN A PURE SILK SLIDE THAT'S LEVITATING IN THE AIR. It's smooth, has a consistent lush/silk sound/production, and good vocal performances as expected.
I will be the first to say I am unfamiliar with Bon Iver's style. I know for a fact he's very influential to artists like Dijon (IMO) and various other artists in the indie folk realm. Looking at the album, the tracks have a motivating element to them, if that makes any sense, unique vocals, and good writing. I don't have anything bad to say it just doesn't resonate with me sonically, but I was glad I gave it a chance and will listen to other projects soon. (AFTER SOME TIME ... read more
I'm not going to bash it, it's cool and catchy at moments, and just a slightly below-average K-pop experience for me.
I think BIBI generally makes very solid/decent bodies of work (of the two I've heard LOL), and EVE: ROMANCE is no different. Does this album have its fair share of filler/bloat (yes, in my opinion). But is it unique to its genre? (yes, I'd say so), It's perfectly unique but keeps that K-pop catchiness that I've learned to love.
To keep it simple, it's A BIG MEHHHHHH for me. putting it on the background may not be bad, and it has its up-tempo fun moments, but 16 songs of this, not for me.
FIRST OFF, HOLY SHIT 24 MEMBERS, HOW DO YALL CHOOSE A FAVORITE? But just looking at the album experience sounds fun and like most KPOP albums can feel bloated and similar, but it was fun and catchy
Like almost every recent Drake album, you can pull a couple of fun, energetic hits, but do we ever expect a great body of work from THE 6 GOD ANYMORE (NO), Do PARTY and DRAKE have good moments (YES) A couple of catchy and dope POP and R&B tracks, but bloated to shit. GET THE LAXATIVES YOU CAN POOPDISCOOP 15 TRACKS FROM THIS.
This is my first Miley Cyrus album ever, and after her 'little going off the deep end' post-Disney hip-hop era, it left me with a sour taste (probably some label bullshit, would love to learn more about why it got there), but it did make me almost forget about her. Until this, the album has great production, and Miley Cyrus is a great vocalist, but I just didn't love every track and don't revisit often, but it probably sounds great live.
What can I appreciate about this album? Not much. TOP 3 appreciative moments: moonbeam ice cream, sick stache, and athletic ability when live performing. In all seriousness, super overproduced vocals when he's already a great singer from what I've seen and production is lasers and shit (AMERICA FUCK YEAAAAA), Mr. Electric Blue is listenable but other than that HOT ASS.
WOWZA, HOT ASS, AN HOUR I'LL NEVER GET BACK. But in all seriousness, I didn't really enjoy anything. He probably had a lot of fun in the studio, maybe... or he just wanted the money.
Never heard of Yeule before this album, but this sounds raw, energetic, and industrial/glitchy to the point where it can be unlistenable at points but I thought it was a good album and consistent.
