An album that shouts self-confidence, toxicity, as well as heartbreak. The album is basic AS SHIT, but you know their catchy, good vocals. I can see why people would enjoy it, but I could get this from someone else.
shit makes me want to unzip my pants and pee
The lore/drama surrounding this album is enough for the general public to give this album a perfect rating, but moving past that, the track list contains hit after hit I'm just not the biggest fan of the last two tracks (still good but not great to me)
Just wow, not the biggest fan of Welcome to the Machine sonically for some reason (still a good track), but other than that, great to flawless tracks.
I've never been the biggest fan of his music, but I understand the appeal. Sonically, he just hits a part of my ear that sends a bad chill down my spine, but I still got a couple of tracks off this and the production is cool.
I feel like I've been overly critical of every recent K-pop release, so I wanted to review this to show that I don't hate K-pop, LOL. This collection/album is the perfect example of peak songs, but also showcases the reality that almost every K-pop release has some generic/unlistenable song *cough * *cough* "Girlfriend" (hopefully it was fun to make or it was probably some label slop). But the synergy, chemistry, rapping, and catchiness showcased from this album are ... read more
The first album from this group that I've heard, although it seems to be more of a showcase of each member's styles and vocals, because when the group is together, it's cringey and generic. Each member has varying styles and substance within their songs (sorry, I'm unfamiliar with their names) but Dance With You and Ghost Girl (prechorus is cool though) are my least favorite, and Take My Half and Sunday Driver are my favorite, I do think I'm looking into this album too ... read more
Is it by any means innovative? NO, but it's smooth and corny in the best way possible. I could see listeners getting listener fatigue due to the similarities between almost every song, but call me Mr. Clean, cause I'll be wiping my floors to this shit.
Some of Mac Miller's most memorable tracks reside on this album (Funny Papers, 5 Dollar Pony Rides, Ricks Piano, etc.). Overall, a good album, but there are just tracks I'd never listen to again, and due to it being a lost record, some of the tracks feel unfinished (but die hard mac fans will love hearing the raw and unfinished potential of this)
The last album of the new trilogy and under the Weeknd moniker is really good, there is just a good amount of bloat, filler, and tracks I wouldn't revisit, especially during the 2nd half. The transitions from song to song is amazing, and the highs of this album can be considered some of his best work, but this didn't need the 22 tracks.
Enjoyed It'll Be Fine a lot, which got me excited for this release. Unfortunately, it's super average, but you can get some tracks off of it.
Want to get me salivating, alchemist production, and funny bars from 2 Chainz. YES, LARRY JUNE IS BORING, but due to the production, it gives the impression that he's showing some effort. I know this won't be a critically acclaimed album, but I enjoyed it.
not much to say, not good to me but shoutout Purple Lace Bra that shit is great
Considering the last mini project released was in 2017, and being crowned by many as the King of K-Pop (including me), I was expecting way more out of this project. Power and TOO BAD (ALWAYS LOVE ME SOME PAAK) are great tracks, but everything else is just meh to me.
My least favorite Blackpink full-length solo release. Some great highs on the album like Rockstar, and FXCK UP THE WORLD. I can also get the hype with tracks like New Women and Born Again, but I wouldn't personally revisit them. The rest of the album is all over the place but I guess that is the point with Alter Egos. (I apologize LISA fans)
Honestly, after hearing Abracadabra, I was not even excited for this album, but it's MFING Lady Gaga. And I was pleasantly surprised, high-paced club-like songs with an energetic and seemingly motivated Gaga (kind of goofy to put Die With A Smile on here, but get that bag). I don't revisit this album often, but when highlights like Garden of Eden shuffle in the car, we're going a little bit over the speed limit (JK)
FREE THROW (SWAMP), FREE THROW (SWAMP), FREE THROW (SWAMP), FREE THROW (SWAMP IZZOO). but yes, there is a good amount of bloat on this album, and the production is all over the place compared to Whole Lotta Red, but the high-energy performances alone from Carti make this a good album in my opinion. THEY DID FUCK UP, EVIL JORDAN THOUGH.
