I decided to check out all of Danny Brown's albums and this one is alright for a debut. The flows on this album are extraordinarily good, really enjoyed all songs despite some of them not being that good. Guitar Solo's instrumental is one of my fav instrumentals I've heard, I have no idea what to think about the album cover, it's so bad yet so good at the same time, it's just bad with a sprinkle of nostalgia which makes it good.
This is pretty good, in my opinion it isn't album of the year, but it is pretty close to being album of the year. It was just kinda boring at times for me, while also being pretty interesting, idk, it's just not my kinda music, Folk is a weird genre for me : it's either really interesting or it's really boring. Star is insanely good and probably one of the better songs from this year, anyways with that being said this album is a contender for album of the year.
I like experimental hip hop at times but this is just.. this is just too much. Kanye's god complex on this record is above the charts. Some songs are insanely good but this is really inconsistent for a Kanye record. Bound 2 is the best song on this and yeah, not really what I expected from a Kanye record, it's also underrated by some though, like it's inconsistent but not THAT bad bruh. Anyways, this record is aight and it has some great songs.
Meh, corny, didn't enjoy it too much, it's just like a SOUR 2.0 in my opinion, also it's really inconsistent. all-american bitch is the best song in this album in my opinion, one of the few songs I enjoyed. Also bad idea right? kinda grew on me, the chorus is still bad, although it went from a 50 to a 83 for me. vampire is still just a general pop song for me and yeah, I didn't enjoy this album. Not really my style of music, but ig it's fine.
Some songs are good but this is inconsistent, especially in the 2nd half, also really disappointing for an album by JAY-Z and Kanye West. Homeboys In Paris is probably the best song on this, but No Church In The Wild is also really good with the Frank Ocean feature on it, really enjoyed both of these tracks thoroughly, same with Otis, these 3 tracks absolutely bang. Yeah this album is pretty disappointing and inconsistent af but the better songs are pretty damn good.
As usual, this Odd Future record is very inconsistent, going from decent tracks like NY (Ned Flanders) to stuff like Lean. That's mostly my main problem with this album, the inconsistency is really bad. Also in my opinion Ya Know is underrated, it deserves more than a 70/100 user score. Also I'm happy Earl got a verse on Oldie, CAUSE DAMN IT IS GOOD, AND SO IS THE REST OF OLDIE, MATTER OF FACT, IT'S THE BEST ODD FUTURE SONG AND PROBABLY ONE OF MY FAV RAP SONGS, IT'S JUST SO FUCKING GOOD BRUH ... read more
Probably my favorite Odd Future musical project. This is really overhated in my opinion, it's absolutely lit, also as usual Earl Sweatshirt kills it on every song he's on. Splatter is a really great way to start the album, also the Mike G and Earl Sweatshirt duo on Cool is fucking legendary. Also I love the fact Frank Ocean sang at the end of Ugly Girls. Up is just so chill, tbh one of the most chill OF songs.
1. Intro - 78/100
2. Splatter - 95/100
3. Turnt Down - 72/100
4. Drop - 87/100
5. ... read more
Probably my least favorite Odd Future musical project, but it's not too bad, it's just mid, nothing too special. I like the sound of this project it's just not good, anyways Back for Another One is probably my favorite song on this because it's actually good in my opinion, not really too edgy in my opinion and that's what I like about it, young Tyler's potential not wasted on that much edgy stuff. And I got these bitches brewin', and I got these bitches brewin', and I got these bitches brewin', ... read more
I made the joke once and I'll make it again, "Tickets To My Downfall", no shit Sherlock. Atleast this serves more of a purpose than mainstream sellout cause it's somewhat better. Also Trippie Red on a MGK song made me roll around laughing. Anyways, this is why when Eminem disses you you don't respond, bro had to literally switch genres. Anyways, this sounds like something an emo teenager would listen to.
"mainstream sellout" no shit sherlock. HOW DID THIS GUY GET A FEATURE WITH LIL WAYNE???????? I honestly feel bad for him, he got dissed so hard by Eminem that he became even worse than he ever was, but I mean he was asking for it when making a response. This makes tickets to my downfall sound like Nirvana's Nevermind compared to this. (Also yeah, I listened to all of Tickets To My Downfall, I just haven't reviewed it yet, you'll probably see my review on that soon though) maybe saves ... read more
I was listening to this album, thought it couldn't get any worse and this mf added the song where he profits of his friend's death, I swear I'm done with this shit idgaf anymore I'm giving this a 0/100.
One of the greatest albums of the 2010's decade, while listening to this my opinion kept changing, because of the inconsistency of some songs, but now it's back to the original opinion I had of this being one of the greatest albums in the 2010's decade, is it the greatest? In my opinion, it isn't the greatest, To Pimp A Butterfly surpasses this, however this is a good contender and one of the best records by Kanye.
Try not to make a "your mom" "joke", this is To Pimp A Butterfly if it was actually good. The Tnt emoji rap is truly one of the songs of all time and this album is just a work of beauty. This is one of the worst albums ever, I'm happy the Annoying Orange didn't make any other albums because this was like an attack to my ear. The Unicorn Rap is one of the worst songs EVER, I REALLY MEAN IT.
It's his weakest album to say the least. It's also bad, like this genuinely made me laugh a few times because people actually enjoy some of these songs. (although no offense to your music taste if you do, if you enjoy this shit then enjoy this shit, not trying to make you change your whole opinion from this single review) MTOMB and EL TORO COMBO MEAL are the only good songs and idc what you say, they really are. TISK TISK / COOKIES is an alright track, nothing too good, nothing too bad.
Give this album a relisten or a few more and then you will realize how kinda good it is. The jazz and trap elements combined are pretty good, most of the songs are alright and the production is pretty damn good. Even if you didn't like this album, I don't just making the whole review just 1 word like an actual review I found of it, which was just the word "Forgettable", also giving this anything below a 50 is overexaggerating and you know it.
The title explains this album, it's some rap songs, with some better than others. There is some inconsistency, but beside that, this is Earl Sweatshirt's magnum opus so far and it's pretty good so I wouldn't be shocked if it stays like that for a long time, however I would like if a new Earl Sweatshirt album tops this one. This has some of my favorite Earl Sweatshirt songs on it and it's a pretty short listen, some people just don't see the lyrical skills in my opinion. To be honest, this is ... read more
Never thought 1 single song could be classified as an E.P. before this, love it, 100/100. It's so depressing and sad, I totally recommend checking it out.
Overrated this, overrated that, this is not overrated at all. I hate the fact I had to log into a diff music website but it's alright, this album is really good, I'm a fan of Earl Sweatshirt's music and the only reason I didn't listen to this is because it's not on Spotify, but on fucking Gala Music. Anyways, I enjoyed most of the songs on this, the replayability of them is probably alright, my first listen of this album was a really great listen.
Republican rap music is the best way to explain this. Castles tries to be good but it sounds so bad, I'd genuinely rather listen to the sound of people shitting instead of this. Like for me most of this isn't even funny bad, it's just horrible, I hated every single second of this, I do not recommend this album at all. Dear God actually made me laugh so much though lol. Also why did Tom have to ruin The Way I Am?
The instrumentals are genuinely better than Gunna on this album ๐, his lyricism is meh but at the same time this is so boring. This album is a solid eeeyah/10
