While I do prefer the Blackgaze sound from Deafheaven which they thankfully continued and mastered with their latest record "Lonely People With Power", I gotta say this a really nice and very well done change in sound what still feels and sounds like Deafheaven. While this album is waaay to long for it‘s own good I still have to say that I really had fun listening to it. I have nothing but respect for Scrim and as an $B fan for almost 8 years now I'm always so excited to see what they're gonna put out next. This album sure is far from perfect and I don't know if I'm ever gonna listen to it in it's entirety again but theres a fair amout of songs that I can see myself bumping more
