MIKE, Wiki & The Alchemist - Faith Is a Rock

Day 1/365

MIKE wasn’t sharp on this album and I didn’t enjoy his verses as much as I usually do. Wiki sounds like nasally Kendrick but in a bad way. His voice isn’t great, but once again alcs production saves this album from being completely unlistenable.

Day 1/365

As someone really delving into the discography of Alc, I’ve noticed how consistent his production is. I really liked the songs Judas and Ray Mysterio. Wasn’t a big fan of Fuck and get high but it’s still not that bad. Gunn and Conway I feel have great chemistry and alcs production suits them well.

The Alchemist - GOLDFISH

Day 1/365

I really enjoyed this album. I’m not going to lie I was not familiar with HitBoy at all as this was the first time I’ve heard his music, but his flow was great and didn’t try and take over the beat, he went with the flow and I enjoyed every song on the album but especially God Is Great and Doing My Best. I’m excited to see if they do something in the future.

The Alchemist - Flying High

Day 1/365

I’ve never understood the concept of playing it safe when the music is good. It’s an EP but I enjoyed every song and the flow each rapper brought to it. I just wish it was longer.

Day 1/365 (Back and here to stay)

The hate I saw from this online I felt was unjustified. I actually really liked the smooth vocals from Jack on the album and I honestly would support another album similar to this. I think he did a great job transitioning from hip hop (which I don’t think best suits his flow) and did something that I think suits him better and if this was his first album it would get a lot more love than it has now. I liked the smooth vocals he showed on the album and I ... read more

Erykah Badu - Baduizm

Smooth listen, every song blends in together in a good way.

sosocamo - keep steady

Seen this in my Instagram reels and I fw this song heavy.

SPALEXMA - We Are Charlie Kirk

I wish someone glazes me this hard when I die.

Eagles - Hotel California

When you listen to this compared to what Al B Sures version theres no comparison. I do like the yacht rock genre in general, but these guys have no talent and can't sing worth a damn. Terrible record.

Al B. Sure! - In Effect Mode

Honestly believe with better PR and recognition he would be compared to Chris Brown. Great singer and this is really solid work from him here, and I really liked Nite and Day from this album.

Luther Vandross - Never Too Much
95

My dad's favorite artist is Luther Vandross, so I've listened to a lot of his music, but this album is definitely one of his best, good mix of slow and up-tempo songs. You Stopped Loving Me is my favorite, with Don't You Know That being a close 2nd. All the other songs are really good too and this is a great representation of early 80s r&b and rightfully launched Luther's successful music career.

KC and the Sunshine Band - I'm Your Boogie Man
80

Really catchy and I really like the chorus. Definitely a karaoke song but not much else. Still good to listen to on occasion though if you're in the mood to dance.

KC and the Sunshine Band - KC and the Sunshine Band

This is one of my favorite disco albums that definitely will get you on the dance floor and the melodies are really catchy, especially on Boogie Shoes, Get Down Tonight and Thats the Way I Like It.

Commodores - Sail On
90

Probably my favorite commodores song, and they have some good music. Lionel Ritchie vocals really shine and the lyrics are sad but definitely memorable

King Geedorah - Take Me to Your Leader
90

Dooms best production in his discography can be found here, especially on Next Levels, Fastlane and I Wonder. Mr. Fantastic made his debut and immediately delivered a good verse on Antimatter and overall most of the guest MCs on here were solid.

Bobby Caldwell - August Moon

Be mine, Fraulien give me a reason to keep you here.

Enjoyed this album, as I am a big fan of Bobby Caldwell's work but I can't say it's his best, but there's some good material here for sure and his vocals are consistent throughout the entire album which I always appreciate.

Johnny Gill - Johnny Gill
80

Fairweather friend is really good, and I also thought that putting rub you the right way first was interesting, but it gave the album a very energetic vibe. His vocals and production were solid but I don't think I would come back to this album maybe more than once or twice more, its not bad music but not really my taste, I like slower music but that's just me.

Alexander O'Neal - Hearsay
90

Really solid work by Alexander Oneal here. The album highlighs his voice well and the songs are great listens and he didnt try to do to much on this album, this is a good example of 80s r&b and what its supposed to be. I dont think he needed the intros but its still an interesting concept that he used.

Anita Baker - Rapture

Back after a month hiatus but that doesnt mean I stopped listening to music. This album is honestly perfect. Even the B side is incredible. This is her best work in my opinion. There is nothing she could've done to make this album better in my opinion, just incredible vocals and production.

"Bro this was made over 40 years ago what do you expect? Its not going to be perfect and while Ill admit the album isnt great, there wasnt any blueprint for them to go off of besides the Sugarhill gang or the Fantastic 5, whose albums arent great either."
