A captivating beat by the Alchemist with Jay Worthy and $ha Hef providing their best verses in their catalog on it.
Day 4/365
Enjoyed this album more than I expected to. I do believe that Subroc had some real potential and the chemistry between him and Zev was apparent. I've always been a big fan of DOOM so its refreshing to see that even before he made his persona he was still a great producer. Its tragic what happened to Subroc and I wonder if their are any more unreleased tracks from him. I'm 99 percent sure there isn't because Elektra didn't even want to release this album so ... read more
Day 4/365
2pac had his trademark energy on this album. Hail Mary, Life of an Outlaw, and Me and My Girlfriend were the best tracks from this album. This is the best posthumous 2pac album in my opinion. Definitely liked the dark production that was on this album, and it felt like he knew his time was up, which was an interesting element added onto the album.
Day 4/365
She's talented for sure, but I feel this music is for the ladies. Not for me.
Day 3/365
I've been a big fan of this specific album for a couple of years now and I believed I had reviewed it a while ago but I just realized that I haven't but here's my review. Kanye and Consequences chemistry on this album is obvious and the addition of common on this album added an element that just hadn't been seen in underground records like this one. Every song that Ive listened too I have enjoyed and to hear Kanye's early development as an artist on this ... read more
Day 3/365
Their sophomore album wasn't as good as the first but it still was an enjoyable listen. They set a high bar for themselves when they released their classic first album and this album didn't go over that bar, but it was comparable to the first. Buckshot really shined on this album for me.
Day 3/365
Black Moon returned to their roots, and didn't disappoint. They sound the exact same and the production is still up there with the best as it really fits each MCs style well. No complaints about the album and I feel the same about this project as of all their other projects that I have listened to, which has been an enjoyable listen of great mcing and production, really felt the grimy trademark New York sound here
Day 3/365
Just stop what your doing and really listen. Excellent work every MC that made an appearance on this album and the producing was tight. Not one skip on this.
Day 2/365
Listened to this a while ago but Placebo Syndrome is one of the most unique tracks I've ever heard. I don't know how they were able to make this song, but I know they were on drugs really bad so whatever they were on, worked. Very interesting 44 minutes of runtime and I do feel like they always created albums that were unique, whether good or bad.
Day 2/365
We finna shockwave niggas out the way.
Blockchain niggas out the game.
Great album.
Day 2/365
I couldn't finish this album and I don't really want to. The music just isn't for me. I unironically thought Babytron had the best feature on the album and I don't even really fw him like that. I just thought every song sounded like a generic boring trap beat which just isn't for me.
Day 2/365
Alc put me onto Curren$y, I thought the first track Half Moon Mornings really set the tone for this album. Really solid work from both Curren$y and Alc on the album.
Day 2/365
Really loved Empty Pages on this album, even if the rest of the album was bad, (which it wasn't) I would still give it a solid rating. Larry does what he needed to do on this album for sure but Empty Pages is a really underrated song from the Alchemists catalog. Great saxophone and drum elements in this song. Alchemist even provides a good verse on the song along with Curren$y and Larry.
Day 2/365
Havoc had good verses, especially on Impose My Will and because of this I feel that Alchemist didn't have to do much, a lot of simple drum beats with a hint of piano that did exactly what it needed to, which is highlighting Havocs voice. Good album.
Good cuts on the song, especially at the end. billy does his thing, per usual.
Day 2/365
I'm a fiend for Alchemist production so I do believe I will always enjoy all his albums, even if the mcing is subpar to a certain extent. billy woods is just one of those guys where you stop and listen and that feeling is there on this album. Big fan of both on this album but I understand if someone doesn't like it.
Day 2/365
This was my first time hearing Domo Genesis and I was genuinely impressed with how good this album was. Alc is sharp as usual but Domo provided good verses that didn't overpower the beat.
Day 2/365
Alcs production is always solid but once you hear one 2 Chainz feature you’ve heard all of them. Larry has better range for sure but it’s just not that good on this album. I think if Alc had kept this at 5 tracks it would’ve been more enjoyable, but it’s still a decent one and done listen.
Day 2/365
I’m upset I haven’t listened to this earlier. Great album, the production is great, Freddie is great, all the features hit. I have no complaints
Day 2/365
This was somehow better than Alfredo. I keep going back to this and I’ve the improvements Freddie’s had with his flow, from more laid back flows to faster flows Freddie has really become a master at his craft, rapping on topics that have been the same for a while but somehow improved. Shoutout always to Alc on his production and the first song that was on this album, 1995 was something I didn’t expect he could keep up with but he somehow was able too. JID with a ... read more
