When I didn't make fun of djent
It's really good tho and holds up pretty well.
It is very expected metalcore of 2016. Decent chuggs good drumming. The vocals are alright but nothing special.
I think I like this a lot more than Lost Isles but that could be due to me seeing them play the whole thing live or bc I played the shit out of it in high school. Either way it's real good mathy metal.
By far the best I have heard from Ghost Data and Celestial Bodies is a fantastic song.
It's chill and pretty good rock music to have on in the background. Suburb hangout music
This is a pretty interesting project. This is my first time listening to brakence and I was honestly expecting it to just be some 2017 era emorap slop but the glitchy instrumentals and singing sets it far apart from that.
Some lyrics are a bit much but I can't honestly fault that much in a way like I would to a Blackbear song because I feel sincerity here that BB is incapable of.
This has grown a bit, I still don't think I get it or whatever but it doesn't do anything that I don't love when other bands do it so idk what my issue is.
Edit: 70 -> 72
This is not a good album and recent events make me not wanna associate with this band altogether but unfortunately I am possessed by nostalgia with this. This is one of my dads favorite records and because of that I saw them live with him in like 2014 or something when I was like 12. IDK IT ISNT THAT BAD NGL its just not something I listen to anymore.
Happy Song is a weird ass song that I think only BMTH can pull off and not make corny. Its a pretty fun listen even if I rarely if ever come back to this intentionally.
I think what sets this above Unhallowed is the lack of fluff. Every track here bangs.
TBDM is one of the most consistent melodic death bands especially from this era. Good stuff.
I love Dillinger a lot. This is for sure better than their 98' release but I still feel like this has a somewhat high bar of entry but idk.
