Hayley Williams - Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party

This album is a masterpiece. The lyrics alone are so thought-provoking, and then you add the production elements and bam! You've got an album you will be doing a deep dive on. Hayley has such a lovely way of articulating herself that really pulls you into the emotions she is feeling and is trying to convey. I haven't stopped listening to this album since the singles were released on her website.

I have many thoughts, but I also can't really conceptualize them all. I've been sitting on this one for months now, and I still feel like I can't even entirely list out why this album is so good. Sam has always had such a way with storytelling that makes it feel like you are experiencing these things right alongside him.

I absolutely loved this album, I think it was wonderfully produced and I really loved the emotional whiplash of listening to this album (especially the first time through). This is the album I'd say RM's spent his entire career building up to and it was a major payoff. This album is genuinely a treat to listen to and I think it really does take you on a journey throughout the whole piece. I am so glad he got to work on this and was able to work with San Yawn of Balming Tiger on this album. I really think this a culmination of a lot of things in RM's life and I can't say much else other than this is art.

I really love how Vu always manages to incorporate art into her album covers because she always paints such vivid and poignant images with her lyricism. The recreation of Gentileschi's "Judith Slaying Holofernes" is very fitting for this album. While the topic may not be something wholly unique Vu puts her own spin on it and each track carves your way into your subconscious as you're listening. I am excited for her next album because I feel like this is a predecessor to ... read more
