Hayley Williams - Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party
98

This album is a masterpiece. The lyrics alone are so thought-provoking, and then you add the production elements and bam! You've got an album you will be doing a deep dive on. Hayley has such a lovely way of articulating herself that really pulls you into the emotions she is feeling and is trying to convey. I haven't stopped listening to this album since the singles were released on her website.

Sam Fender - People Watching

I have many thoughts, but I also can't really conceptualize them all. I've been sitting on this one for months now, and I still feel like I can't even entirely list out why this album is so good. Sam has always had such a way with storytelling that makes it feel like you are experiencing these things right alongside him.

Tyler, The Creator - CHROMAKOPIA
95

I absolutely loved this album, I think it was wonderfully produced and I really loved the emotional whiplash of listening to this album (especially the first time through). I think this is probably my favorite sound from Tyler and I think it really plays off of his previous works in the best way possible.

I could honestly write so much more about this album, but I'll try to keep it short and sweet: This album takes you a journey from tear-jerkers to explosive energy ,and his ... read more

RM - Right Place, Wrong Person

This is the album I'd say RM's spent his entire career building up to and it was a major payoff. This album is genuinely a treat to listen to and I think it really does take you on a journey throughout the whole piece. I am so glad he got to work on this and was able to work with San Yawn of Balming Tiger on this album. I really think this a culmination of a lot of things in RM's life and I can't say much else other than this is art.

I really love how Vu always manages to incorporate art into her album covers because she always paints such vivid and poignant images with her lyricism. The recreation of Gentileschi's "Judith Slaying Holofernes" is very fitting for this album. While the topic may not be something wholly unique Vu puts her own spin on it and each track carves your way into your subconscious as you're listening. I am excited for her next album because I feel like this is a predecessor to ... read more

에픽하이 [Epik High] - Map Of The Human Soul
86

One time in an interview tablo mentioned that he first started really getting into/listening to music when he was at boarding school and was incredibly lonely. He mentioned that he thinks this loneliness carried over into his music, and I think that's evident in this album—which set the tone for Epik High's expansive 20 years together. Albeit loneliness is not the only emotion shown throughout this album (nor their others) it is something prevelant throughout the tracks, weaving ... read more

cacophony - Harmony 화

I wrote a paper on this album comparing it to dante's inferno back in high school. I think this album (and it's music videos) are a beautiful exploration of grief

Yasmin Nur - Punch Me! This Is a Nightmare!
79

This album has a lot of elements of riot grrl and alt rock and I absolutely love it. Driving In My Car and Flowers In My Garden are the stand outs for me

Wet Leg - Wet Leg
87

God I love this album, amazing fucking debut

BTS - Proof
67

RUN BTS was the best new song on here, my god I love that track

Stray Kids - ATE
67

I LOVED some tracks on this album, but others really left something to be desired

Hozier - Hozier
96

One of my all-time favorite albums. Both lyrically and sonically this is a beautiful piece of art. And having this as a debut album? Insane, literally insane. Andrew Hozier-Bryne the man you are

Hozier - Unreal Unearth
84

Listen, I may be biased here, but I believe Hozier can do no wrong (musically). I loved this as a concept album, and I think he did such an amazing job with this and some of the songs felt like I really was traveling through Dante's inferno into the circles of hell.

Olivia Rodrigo - GUTS

Olivia, my girl, this was an amazing follow-up album to sour. I really liked sour, but outside of a couple of the tracks, it didn't have a lot of re-listen value to me. This however did.

boygenius - the record

I loved this album. For a collaborative project between 3 established artists who are close friends, this is everything you could have hoped for and more. The folky influences and the warm vocals, paired alongside the poignant lyrics really make this stand out as a beautiful piece of art.

Paramore - This Is Why
93

Paramore my beloved. Oh how I ADORED this album, this was such an amazing return and almost every song was catchy and brought something new to the table. This is an amazing album and god Hayley William's vocals were phenomenal on this. I will forever be petty I couldn't see them live

WILLOW - empathogen

This album???? So fucking good. I really loved the blend of different genres, the jazz, rnb, pop, rock, etc. I feel like this was her best album yet and she really honed in on her sound here and it felt very cohesive and bold. Symptom of life is phenomenal, it really shows that artists can veer away from 4/4 and 3/4 as time signatures and still have a catchy ass tune. This really felt like an amazing take on afrosurrealism from Willow

Olivia Rodrigo - GUTS (spilled)

Obsessed should've been released on Guts, I'm sorry I did not want to wait that long to finally hear it but oh my god was I excited when it was finally released on Spotify

RM - Indigo
82

I loved this album when it came out, but it felt very disjointed at points (which I understand was intentional to an extent as it was painting a portrait of his 20s which were very chaotic). However, I really liked some of the sounds he explored within this album (Change pt.2 and Still Life probably being my favorites). However, returning to this album after Right Place Wrong Person, I feel like this was a necessary step into making that album. This was RM dipping his toes into some more ... read more
