Steve Winwood - About Time
74

Surprisingly good considering how I have felt with the rest of his stuff however it makes sense that it's different given that it was after a 6 year break and it's more of a different genre. I like the cover of Why Can't We Live Together and I have just learned that Sade aren't the original and it has been covered by a bunch of different people. Sylvia (Who is She?) is also quite a good track and I can totally see myself coming back to that and liking it even more. The rest ... read more

Starting off I am immediately surprised that there is something I like after listening to Roll With It yesterday like It's actually good. None of the songs suck or bore me, I'm never looking at the track timer thinking "how is this only halfway through" like it's just a very enjoyable listen. I wouldn't say it's amazing but it's certainly good and I feel like something I would happily put on someday just on in the background. Spy in the House of Love, ... read more

It's just boring, The Morning Side sounded interesting but failed to grip me, Put On Your Dancing Shoes is the same thing where it kinda sounds cool but I am just getting bored of it. Hearts on Fire sounded kind of cool and didn't feel like it overstayed its welcome. I just don't really care at all about this album like there is no way I'm going through it again, but I didn't hate it like if this was just on in the background I wouldn't be entirely mad.

Steve Winwood - Back In The High Life
68

I came in with a positive attitude because I do enjoy Higher Love and I am going through his albums that we have on CD before I see him play as a supporting act live next weekend but like It was just alright/eh, like I did enjoy Higher Love I do quite like that track but other stuff like Back in the High Life Again is just boring and Split Decision comes close because it drags on. The rest of the tracks are just alright but like I kind of did not care for it because most of it was just sameish ... read more

I think someone stole the second half of the CD because there just straight up is no disc 2 like I straight up just have the first half and I though that was normal until I was logging this and found out I am missing half of it. I'm not entirely mad that I am missing part 2 and in most cases I would just "conveniently find" the rest of the album online but I don't really want another hour of this. I think the first hour is enough for me so my opinion is entirely based off of ... read more

Rod Stewart - The Best of Rod Stewart

I mean it's good, I didn't enjoy the soundtrack to his play that much so this surprised me as the only track I know is Maggie May however Baby Jane, Do Ya Think I'm Sexy?, Young Turks and Tonight's The Night were all highlights for me. The other tracks were pretty decent like It's an enjoyable listen from start to finish but there isn't much to say about it as it's just a compilation album.

Rod Stewart - Tonight's The Night : The Rod Stewart Musical

I kinda don't care which is fine because it's a free CD that came with a newspaper but like I just don't really care for it. It's alright other than Hot Legs which I wasn't too fond of and just sort of dragged on for far too long. Don't Come Around Here was the only memorable track. Isn't really much more to say about it.

Robert Plant and the Strange Sensation - Mighty ReArranger
69

Kinda did not care for it at all, I mean it's decent and it's not like I wished I was listening to anything else but also it just didn't grip me at all. Maybe it's something I would like more if I listened to it 3 or 4 times but that's too much of a commitment for something I am not guaranteed to find interesting. The second half of Tin Pan Valley was kind of cool and the end of The Enchanter was kind of neat but like I just did not care for the rest of the track. The ... read more

This will always hold a special place in my heart because it is the first time I have been present for a music launch. Every other album I have listened to I have listened well after it has come out and haven't ever got to experience the feeling and hype of a new album from a band that I am currently listening to. I was obsessed with this last year like I pre ordered the notebook edition of the CD, bought tickets to see them for this year, set my phone background to the album art and even ... read more

If A Head Full of Dreams was the point where the band changed this is the point where I feel like they have committed to the more commercial popslop stuff. It's not a bad album like I went in kinda negatively even though I have listened to it 11 or so times now but I just don't hate it the way some other people do. I do like that the interludes are separate tracks like it does make the album look like it has more songs than it actually does but it makes it so much nicer to just ... read more

The only Everyday Life I have heard in public and it was in a Tesco the exact same night I went to see the early preview screening of Moon Music which was crazy. I think this 100% should have been in the main album and it isn't even that long of a track like it wouldn't have bloated the album. It's a sweet song and I am glad it got released as a single so it wasn't exclusive to the JP version of EL.

It was an album I missed when I was buying the rest of their discography on CD and I am mad that it took me a month or so longer to get my hands on this one because it's one of my favourites. If Coldplay are considered to be too far gone into "popslop" this is proof that they are still very capable of producing something unique and enjoyable to listen to. It not being popslop kind of means it's underrated though like I don't think I have heard a single person (outside ... read more

Decent EP, not quite as good as Prospekt's March as it's basically just 3 tracks with 2 remixes between them but good nonetheless. All I Can Think About Is You sounds really nice and I like it but then at 2:30 it's like WOW this sounds really good, I think A Head Full of Dreams was a nice sounding album but nothing sounded anything like this. I thought they were stupid for having two songs called Miracles but as it turns out Miracles (Someone Special) is remix with a feature and ... read more

This used to be my favourite Coldplay album before I started really getting into them and I am still quite fond of it although I can admit that it isn't their best. I don't think it's perfect or contains that sauce the first few albums have but it's undeniably fun. The first 4 tracks are just good and the whole album follows through. A Head Full of Dreams and Hymn for the Weekend slap, they do feel a bit to poppy to be perfect in my eyes but I do love them. Especially the ... read more

Coldplay - Ghost Stories

I used to hate it because it was forgettable (even more so than X&Y) but wow it feels good on the ears with headphones, Always In My Head just sounds really nice, same for Magic. Ink is a bit different though because I feel like the vocals are a bit too loud and I'm not a huge fan of the lyrics, True Love is a bit similar to where it sounds nice but just doesn't grip me. Both of those tracks are definitely the weakest bit of the album.

Midnight is a nice song like I feel like ... read more

I think this is the point where Coldplay change, if you liked their previous work there isn't a guarantee that you will like this and what comes after. I do like it though, Paradise was the first Coldplay song I properly listened to on repeat (Viva la Vida does not count if it was a Minecraft parody). I don't think the album is as artistic as their previous but it is undeniably fun like you can't not have a smile on your face when you put it on and part of that is definitely the ... read more

"If Life in Technicolour is so good why isn't there a Life in Technicolour II" Crazy start to the EP, Life in Technicolour deserved this treatment as it works so well as a full song and it's probably the highlight of the whole album. Postcards and Glass of Water are both good but I don't have much more to say. Rainy Day makes my ears feel good. Title Track/Poppyfields sort of just went over my head, not bad but didn't grip me. I Don't think the Jay-Z feature ... read more

It's really something special, Life in Technicolour is a really cool opening, Cemeteries of London is great, Lost! is a banger and 42 is such an amazing track like both sides of it is just peak. Lovers in Japan / Reign of Love is just great because the first bit is a banger and RoL is beautiful. I think Yes would be only great if it wasn't for Chinese Sleep Chant on the second half like that really elevates it to the same as the rest.

Viva la Vida, with many other overplayed Coldplay ... read more

Probably the Coldplay album I remember the least of. Square One is a nice first track, I really like What If and White Shadows which makes me feel like it's one of those albums that I forget how good it is but is secretly amazing. It's not like I haven't listened to it a bunch like I have listened to it as an album at least 9 times now but every time I forget what it's like or if I am trying to name all the Coldplay tracks this is the one I can remember the least when it ... read more

Good single, quite like the track. Not to be a hater but if this replaced The Scientist on AROBTTH I think it would be a perfect album.
