When it comes down to it, Prospekt's March is an inconsistent, but incredibly exciting half-hour of music.
More than just a quickie disc of extras, Prospekt's March actually stands as the sturdiest Coldplay collection since A Rush Of Blood To The Head.
None of this is major but it is enjoyable, worthwhile for the devoted -- and it's nice they can get it separately instead of plunking down cash yet again for a deluxe edition.
Will it work? Is ‘Prospekts March’ a stroke of marketing/brand reigniting/whatever genius? Lord knows. But can someone do me a fucking favour and please figure out the best way to do all this shit, so we can get back to reviewing actual music rather than all these crazy little projects?!
Of course, it could just be the lingering Eno influence.
This EP collects recordings from the sessions for Viva la Vida, Coldplay's most sonically tricked-out record, but the new songs feel too conservative after Viva's world-music-laden sprawl.
If you're like me and love VLV with a passion then this little EP is prb a dream come true right? More VLV type songs? The opener of VLV but with lyrics and longer? Fuck yeah!

Extra sessions from Viva La Vida shows the band has some amazing material left, from the revised Life in Technicolor, the cheerful Glass of Water and the exciting title track.
Just skip the Jay-Z feature from Lost+ though.
The little brother of the Viva la Vida LP. Not much to say but overall quite solid. Lost+ would have absolutely sucked if the original song wasn't such a bop.
