Attaching the word ‘rock’ to any description of OneRepublic seems horribly wrong, because they’ve never really done anything of any real worth within that genre, nor any genre for that. Nothing has changed with their latest album, ‘Native’, which is one small step away from a boy band.

I've always been a sucker for dumb fun music, give me a cheesy pop album and I'll prb enjoy it, we all need a break from more complex experimental concept album bs every once in a while, it's nice to just sit back and enjoy stupid pop songs y'know, makes me feel good.

I feel so alone in this take, but that's subjectivity, right?

Native is OneRepublic's most diverse and creative album, marking a shift from one side of the pop rock spectrum to the other. I don’t think this album is as bad as some people make out. Is it a basic pop album? Yes but it does have some decent hits. Last song is pointless though.

knowing only the first two tracks really lead me to this massive disappointment. ryan is a good lyricist but these songs are just generic stadium anthems
