Black Sabbath - Master of Reality
88

If After Forever, Embryo, and Orchid were removed this album would be like a 98

Lauryn Hill - The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill
93

Might be the most consistent album I’ve ever heard. In just my first listen to the album every single song wound up in my playlist which has literally never happened before. She somehow manages to keep my attention and keep me engaged with her entrancing vocal runs and profound lyrical narratives. The concept of love and such is very coherent and I’m all here for the classroom skits

Denzel Curry - Melt My Eyez See Your Future
90

There’s just something about this album that is almost angelic to my eardrums and I can’t help but listen to it on repeat. From Denzel’s insane interpersonal lyrics, to his wordplay, and the grand dynamic instrumentation present in this record I highly regard it as Denzel’s best work

Denzel Curry - TA13OO
83

I love the unique sound of this album so much. I wish I could rate it higher but unfortunately tracks like MAD I GOT IT and CLOUT COBAIN stop me from doing so.Denzel has a certain way with composing encapsulating sonic experiences and redefining whole genres in such a new light. Incredibly underrated artist.

Neutral Milk Hotel - In the Aeroplane Over the Sea
95

Incredibly unique. Melancholic nostalgia is what I would call it. Although I don’t necessarily know what he means in these surreal lyrics 100% of the time (I don’t think he does either) I feel as if that isn’t necessarily a bad thing because the general overarching themes create such vivid portrayals in your head.

Kendrick Lamar - good kid, m.A.A.d city
98

The storytelling in this album is UNMATCHED. K-dot’s vivid imagery legitimately makes me like I’ve experienced these situations in my own life. The classic West side hip-hop influences are top notch and every single song is a certified banger. SAMIDOT is a fucking masterpiece there’s nothing else to be said about that. I adore this album with every fiber of my essence

Death Grips - Exmilitary
92

The insane samples that are used in this are 1. Straight up illegal but most importantly 2. Add so much character to the album and somehow work perfectly with the flow of the song. This is one of those albums that you have to listen to several time to truly understand and appreciate, so after about my 4th listen through I would say this is amazing and probably Death Grips best work

Miles Davis - Bitches Brew
92

Amazing it just got the tiniest bit redundant towards the end of some of the tracks IMO

Kendrick Lamar - To Pimp a Butterfly
100

Fucking revolutionary. Genius. Most spiritual and emotional experience I’ve had listening to any music in my life.

Kendrick Lamar - GNX
80

Kind of disappointing in the grand scope of his elite discography but still pretty great. Definitely a few duds
