Didn't do much for me today, but if I heard this in '85 it would've floored me.
I appreciate the instrumentals, but I can't get past his vocals unfortunately. Think I should give it another listen though.
Possibly the best first-listen in my life. Masterful production, variety, composition, and direction from Quadeca. We have someone so special who will evolve the music scene for years to come. How Ben or Maruja wrote the verses in CASPER is beyond me. That song is pure art and so powerful.
Almost cried during the Ring Ring Ring chorus because the production is so phenomenal
Solid bars, but a drowsy delivery and an Alchemist beat we've heard hundreds of times
This album that has consumed me since I first listened to it 3 months ago. It feels wrong to give this project anything less than a perfect score, as I can tell it's actively developing my music taste. Never has my heart ached after listening to a collection of songs over and over. Preacher's Daughter asks you to reach inside yourself and find what's been trying to escape.
Really fun back and forth between the male and female vocalists throughout the EP. Excited to see them live soon, I feel like they've got great energy!
This is a really fun windows-down in summer album. Takes you back to having an unrequited crush in high school. These features mesh with each other extraordinarily well, but we already know Kevin is a master director with stuff like this.
This goes dumbfuckerly hard. Glad she's on my radar, but I do wish there was more tempo variety.
The lead's voice was too monotonous for me, but I enjoyed the instrumental punches throughout the record. Probably going to relisten with more intention soon.
Probably unique for the 80s, but it didn't do much for me in 2025, with synthpop taking the world by storm recently. The mixing is fantastic on the remaster though.
Favorites: Midnight
Makes "Scaring the Hoes" sound like Billboard Top 40
Favorites: GALAXY TORIMOTI
Another pop summer is upon us. Addison, Miley, PinkPantheress, Lorde... we're eating.
These are really fun break up songs if you pull yourself back to your high school years.
Hearing The Human Condition for the first time as a 16 year old when it released changed my life. I'll always have respect for JB, but I was expecting a little more from this album since he was away from the scene for 6 years. The songs aren't very memorable, and the sounds are similar to what we've heard on previous projects.
