Glad to see that the general public doesn't hate this album as much as Pitchfork does. Like, I get it can be bloated and some of the songs might be repetitive, but calling this project 'retarded' is just wild, outside of the fact that it's pretty funny. I do really like this album, though, and what it does. I mean from start to finish this album is just rock squared. From the KILLER opening of Cochise to that powerful chorus in The Last Remaining Light, like my goodness this ... read more
Probably Billy Joel's most iconic album, and for very good reason. This album is undoubtedly one of the best of Billy Joel's era, and most people probably don't even realize some of the absolute iconic hits on here. I mean this album is PACKED with them. Movin' Out is so recognizable, Just the Way You Are, Scenes from an Italian Restaurant, I mean Vienna? Only the Good Die Young??? She's Always a Woman??? I mean that's like two thirds of the album!!!! Like this is ... read more
UGH this album is so so so freaking good. It's high for a reason, I'm just gonna say that. Steely Dan has had some really good work over the course of the '70s, but honestly to me this has been THE album that really did it for me in terms of them. And it's hard to describe, because this album is so different from much of what I have listened to, but it's still so good. You can really feel the jazziness on here, BUT they still manage to perform songwriting wise! You ... read more

It's not the most soulful, or beautiful artsy piece of music ever recorded, but one thing that's definitely true about this album is that it just ROCKS. If you wanna listen to something that's gonna get you moving and rocking and bouncing around, this is honestly the record to put on. It's also SUPER impressive technically. I mean, everybody knows about Ritchie Blackmore, and his guitar work is great on this album; ... read more

A lot of people are gonna tell you it sucks, but the grunge heads are gonna tell you that this is still a great album and some of Soundgarden's best. You can see where I fall on that spectrum. Honestly, I still do believe that despite the clear flaws on this album, I still like it a lot and it still shows to an extent how talented Soundgarden was as a band. Also, we gotta understand the context behind this too. Soundgarden was basically on ... read more
