This played at work for a solid fortnight and I still can't remember any of the songs
Man the first half of this album basically carried the entire thing. It would have been a great EP otherwise
This is the type of album that really grows on multiple listens for me. I really do view it as a lyric-focused album and in which, the multiple listens just allowed myself to really soak in the really poignant lines that I'll remember for years
This album will be the one that bites me in the ass where friends will say "How can you like S and M Airlines but not ____" and all I would be able to say is that I have a stupid fascination in music that sounds unpolished and, ultimately, shit
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
My Friends: Ed Sheeran is a great artist because he tells poetic stories in his music
Me: Yeah well, have you listened to Daniel Johnston sing about premarital sex?
I can understand if someone were to say that they hated the vocals. Personally though, they added such a flair of character to the performance that I absolutely loved.
This album is great, fantastic even. The massive problem that holds it back though is the horrible mixing in a few segments on a few tracks. For example, the opening track has such a beautiful introduction to the album but the volume of the trumpet is loud enough to whince. Still, the album does hold solid performances outside of that and I would still highly recommend it
Though it is a tad bloated, Vixy and Tony created an album with fun, charismatic pirate shanties being expressed through multiple different genres
I listened to this while playing Kingdom Hearts 3 and it meshed together like peanut butter and carrots
This album sounds like a toddler singing into a can. I luv it
