I listened to this album whilst on a marvel rivals competitive grind and weirdly it fit. I only listened to this for the joke of it but it was actually quite enjoyable. I feel like the thing that really makes this album is bbno$ himself. without his personality and delivery I feel like this would've fell flat for me. even though it has a bit too many songs, its pretty silly and is the definition of dumb fun. nothing serious, just good times.
Not as solid as is next EP but still nice simple project that is a good time while its on. nothing overstays its welcome but nothing really leaves a lasting impression except for the last song. still pretty solid
what the hell is chipmunk soul? Also I'm not rating this song. It's just gross and kinda cringe. nothing special
Honestly I'm surprised how much I enjoyed this. It feels like a diet version of worst album ever and thats great. it's simple silly and pretty heartwarming.
Edit: this is my 100th rating lol
I've had a really rough last 5 month. I don't want to go into detail but I've felt probably the most isolated I ever felt in my life. The album didn't fix that but it made me feel validated. Made me feel better. not better as in everything is good now but better in a way that I feel ok with whats going on. and that even if stuff sucks. it's only temporary. this album is simple. its sweet. its sad. but in the end its nice. I love it.
after listening to Tsunami Sea I was pleasantly shocked by how fantastic spirit box was. SO I checked out Eternal blue expecting a great project but not one that surpasses Tsunami Sea. What. The Hell. Eternal blue is...sublime. This is a fantastic Project with easily one of my favorite album covers of all time. (I mean just look at it) and also has much more consistent bangers with its worst song being good and having no songs be forgettable and almost everything stands out. While Tsunami Sea ... read more
I listened to this album literally 3 months ago but never made a review. I forgor. anyway this project is a really cool amalgamation of a bunch of artists on top of MF DOOM's fantastic production and has some pretty stelar songs. I wonder is probably the most impactful song and next levels is next level peak (get it?). I kinda wish lockjaw was longer and the 4th track with is just a 5 minute interlude was pretty boring. but other than that a couple of clunky flows. this is a really solid ... read more
Vaudeville villain is by far MF DOOM's most impressive project. while every one of his projects before had some bangers on it and some amazing production and lyrics they always had some moments that stopped the albums from truly being fantastic. mm food has too many interludes that are back to back. born like this had some lack luster production compared to his other works. and madvilliany had shadows of tomorrow. but this....I really don't know what to say this is pretty perfect. ... read more
My actual opinions: ok so the only reason I deluded myself into saying this album was great is because when I first listened to it, I really needed good music, so I forced myself to listen to this because the cover looked cool and in concept, this album is great. the execution is not good. I'll start with the positives. (forever) is the best interlude ever, bone skull is a great song, the first half of neon glow is amazing, cold weather is charming, calico is good, and the first song is ... read more
I feel like this and the original are equally great. this makes it sound more upbeat and vibe but still emotional and soft. The instrumental is what really makes this song. And Laufey's original is much more emotional and soft and something that I wouldn't be able to vibe to. and thats fine. from the start is an amazing song on both ends. I appreciate both of them. great. very great
I realized that I never actually individually reviewed all of good kids singles. so why not. I get why people hate this. but honestly I love it. I find the manic aspect of the mixing to be endearing and not hard to listen. and the part that goes quiet is cool. I really like this song!
Good kid remains on top as a band. I always loved their style even if people called it repetitive. and this song adds something that differentiates it from the rest of their discography making it not only banging. but really fucking banging. one of their best. up there with summer, bubbly, and break. fantastic. Good Kid 5 is gonna be peak
It's literally just fun. It's nothing crazy but its nice while it lasts
WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL!?!?! This is perfect. like actually. like genuinely. I've gone through many albums that have gotten close to perfection but miss out because of one moment or a song that drags or vocals that hurt my ears but this...every song its....perfect. I found it. my 100th review. is a 100 out of 100. It's a disturbing but masterful album with some genuinely fantastic production as well as Till Lindemann's amazing vocal performance. especially on puppe. It feels like ... read more
I've been listening to Gorillas for about a month and nothing really stood out too me too much other than a couple songs until this album. WOW. what an album. this production is heat and the features are mostly amazing. So overall its pretty awesome
