JPEGMAFIA has, for a long time now, been an artist most consider to be best enjoyed whilst ignoring his twitter antics. Peggy is, and always has been, a giant cornball who carries a thick air of pretentiousness about himself and heavily appropriates leftist aesthetics without actually being a principled advocate of progressivism. With how emotionally lush and introspective his music tends to be, his insufferable posturing on social media leaves a sour taste in the mouths of many listeners, a ... read more
From the euphoric "THC ABUSER" to the bone-chilling "FEEL THE SAME", Matt Proxy demonstrates immense potential on his debut mixtape.
one of the worst diss tracks oat. dabo had the easiest layup of his life after the jane diss if he just threw some minor shade jane's way or alternatively just shut the fuck up entirely, but instead he threw a hateful, transmysoginistic, and most importantly entirely disproportionate tantrum. Even ignoring this, the song just sounds like shit.
this is just Belly but with a worse beat
EDIT: istg every time i think he’s missed it ends up growing on me in like a week
With this EP, DJ Ballhunter and 2slimey have truly cemented themselves the Pierre and Carti of the modern era. The mixing is especially good
It’s just so gorgeous from the instrumental to the chorus to the Rick Ross feature I can’t help but cry whenever I hear it. It truly feels like the sonic embodiment of luxury.
Such a tragic ending for a creative genius of Viper's caliber. To be reduced to nothing but a parody of oneself, to truly lose oneself, is a terrifying thing. These 30 tracks, filled with passion and sincerity, were the product of an unimaginably bright and idiosyncratic mind, one which has since been mutilated to the point of unrecognizability. Perhaps this sort of genius can only exist as a product of the same instability which ultimately brought about its downfall. To think one's ... read more
aha aha ahahahahahaha 😝
One of the better terror plugg tapes I've heard so far for sure. It sounds alot more professional than Percatric's singles work. Some might say that he watered himself down here, but honestly the more polished instrumentals don't really detract much from his charm in my eyes, and there are still some pretty insane beats on here regardless. Also, the contrast between Percatric's and BBY GOYARD's approaches towards rapping on these ... read more
I like the melodic direction 2slimey is heading, but even though the hook has grown on me, he has some work to do before his vocals can consistently hit the way they do on Legion. Amazing beat tho and 2slimey kills it on the verse as per usual
EDIT: nvm the vocals on the hook are hard as fuck it just took a lil bit to grow on me
This sounds exactly like the cover. Leans more into the digicore aesthetic than alot of more popular digicore artists in the ug, which I really appreciate given how saturated the genre has become in the past few years. Digicore was never meant to sound polished; the roughness of this project is what gives it its charm.
FAV TRACKS: a unicorn's magic horn, throw up rainbow, spirit power
This album feels like being confronted by a homeless drug addict who has somehow deluded himself into thinking he's the coolest man on the planet, except he's so far gone that he actually kinda is
