Beat is super cool but ivvys doesn’t really do anything interesting with it. He just hasn’t found his sound as a rapper yet
One of the best in the cypher, I get how the off-beat, unintelligible rapping might put ppl off but I really fw it, haven’t heard anything else like it before. Amazing beat as well
Finally, LIME KING hops on some production that really matches his energy. Ever since I first heard this guy through Oddwin I’ve been waiting for him to explore a trap metal sound, and this project lived up to my expectations. LIME KING sounds as insane as ever, the hooks go crazy, and his flow is super tight. It doesn’t really work when he’s not screaming tho, I’M GETTING HEAD is easily the worst track here. There are also less quotables on here than on his last album, ... read more
I’m surprised to see the very negative reception of this project, as I found it to be much more interesting than his last. The weird ambient, lo-fi instrumentals do enough for me to separate this from the likes of Lazer Dim and other dark plugg contemporaries, even if the beats were very samey across the project. If anything, I actually like how the project kinda feels like one long 13-minute song. Percatric’s quick flows and occasional vocal modulation are enough to keep me hooked ... read more
Holy. Fucking. Shit.
Every beat hits. 2slimey’s flows are absolutely infectious. It’s all the best parts of High Anxiety condensed into 8 of the hardest-hitting rage tracks you’ll ever hear. This is 2slimey proving that he’s so much more than a gimmick rapper. If he wasn’t already in contention for one of the most revolutionary artists in the ug, he certainly is now.
The ultimate Viper experience. While everyone loves to talk about how amazing My Hops and Hey, Maybe One Day You'll See Me Again are, the rest of this album doesn't get nearly enough love. The reversed vocal samples on here are nothing short of gorgeous, and Viper's production is at its smoothest and most atmospheric, even groovy at times such as on This G They Wanna Be and How the Fuck These Trash Rappers Get Blessed.
U Got Ur Gat is especially underappreciated; a bizarre ... read more
This is fucking gorgeous holy shit i can’t believe the I SEE THE FUTURE guy made this
Lil B's Black Ken meets Viper's The Southwest Hooligan to extremely bizarre results. The beats on this thing are crazy experimental yet very cheap-sounding, and Del's flows are just as off-kilter as the production. Some tracks here actually bump quite a bit, such as Caught U Dead, and some are downright awful, such as Dodge. I honestly have no idea how to feel about this, but I'm not mad at it.
What a surreal album. Hypnotic, watery instrumentals with beautiful sampling. Every time I finish it it’s as if I had just heard it in a dream; I could hardly recall what I had just listened to. As such, it’s difficult to give it a numbered score. But I do remember having a good time. Clip In and Leanin’ Low are both incredibly genuine and emotional tracks which stand out far beyond the remainder of this solid yet confusing tracklist.
EDIT: this is a masterpiece imma write a ... read more
