I don't know how people are complaining about the beats on here. The beats were fire, and they felt like Three 6 Mafia beats. This album had so many bangers, and not many misses.
This is some of the best De la without so many interludes. The beats here are insanely good, and the rapping is also very good. 1996 was a very stacked time for hip hop and they kept up with them.
This is not the best work he has put out, but it is still super fire. Navy is super lyrical staying on topic, and not getting into the coke rap, or the basic trap stuff. Great stuff Navy.
Styles P is definitely the second out of LOX, but the way he flows over Alchemist beats are insane. Jadakiss had really good features here, and so did Sheek, but they were not as good as the other members of the LOX
Mac Miller definitely could have done better with this. The theme being drugs and making out was not what I expected, well maybe the drugs, but not the making out.
Not his best, but it has some of his best songs. Common has gotten really good at having consistent albums.
It's not normal for a second half to be way stronger than a first half, but this one does it. Pete Rock makes really good beats for the rappers he chose in 2004. Dead Prez, Talib, Skum Village, and Little brother all did amazing on here.
This album can stretch out a song or two but it is still very good. M.O.P/ can change styles from rap rock to Preemo's boom bap sound and make it sound very good. This was better than I thought it would be, but they can rap very good.
All of the songs besides traditional are hits. Too many interludes to rank this higher.
I said this about Isiah's album but this is album of the year. Vince Staples can't miss when it comes to putting out albums. Vince is trying new things on this album and it is working, and he sounds perfect over all of it. The beats, flows, lyrics, and all of that is perfect. AOTY
This album had surpassed what I thought it was gonna be. 21 did his normal thing, but not knowing the features helped me get more hyped when I heard them.
Rick Ross's best by far. The beats here were fire, the features were fire, and Rick Ross was fire. Great album overall.
What a album this is. This is my first time listening to Milo and I am impressed. This dude can flow over any beat, and he has good lyrics. Kenny Segal plays a huge part of this being the producer making the beats that Milo flows over.
This Mac Miller feels more towards To Pimp A Butterfly than Swimming. Some of these songs are definitely his best, but some just don't hit for me. Solid album overall and the pacing was very good for a 10 song 52 minutes.
This album exceeded my expectations for Ab-soul. I feel Ab-Soul did not get out rapped on any song maybe besides Black Lip Bastard, but that's my opinion. Illuminate is definitely my favorite where Kendrick dropped a very hard verse and Ab stayed on course with Kendrick on the song.
The three songs were very solid from Freddie. I did not know Freddie was just gonna drop a random EP, but I am happy that he ended up dropping because it was some of his best work.
What a Album this is, and I should have listened to this when it dropped. This is album of the year for me, for sure.
I did not know he was better than this. Earrings is such a good song but it's not beating the other songs by a mile.
