I've been consistently and exclusively listening to this album for the past month since it's come out. It's one of the greatest Nas albums of all time and one of the greatest hip-hop albums of all time. So many of the songs on here can be left of repeat without me getting bored of them. It sounds good and Nas gives us some amazing verses here. Everyone needs to be listening to this.
Banger. This shit is so mfing fire I can't wait for the rest of the album.
Undeniably good, but also undeniably overrated. I think that on this app an overwhelming amount of people gave this a 90-100 which makes me feel unsure of my rating of this album since so many people are going to disagree with it. But, I also feel like people give this a higher score because they feel like they need to follow others. Also, I think that this album presents ideas that are pretty easy to agree with and these topics have already been heavily discussed by artists that came before ... read more
The only people who bought this garbage in the 80s are the people affected by the fucking crack epidemic. This shit sucks and is so boring.
"You know the song by Phil Collins, "In the Air of the Night"
About that guy who coulda saved that other guy from drownin'
But didn't, then Phil saw it all, then at a show he found him?"
What I don't think most people realize about this album is how big it was. This shit is 15x Platinum in the US and has sold 30 million copies total worldwide. I think the reason why it was able to do that is not only because of how good it is but also because of how diverse it is. This album is multilingual, has a mix of different features, and has a hip hop song on it. This album is insane and does a good job of living up to its glory.
This is yet another album that I found in my parent's old CD collection and decided to give a listen to and I'm glad to say I've found something really pleasant. It's a very chill and mellow album that gives off a very relaxing vibe.
Godamn this is so fucking overrated. I'm not gonna lie there are a few bangers (Hypnotize, Sky's the Limit, Mo Money Mo Problems), but the rest is extremely mediocre and kinda annoying. Like the singing on "Playa Hater" is so annoying and useless. Also, I have an original CD version of this album and on the first disc, there's a 13th track which is just him talking for an astonishing 11 and a half minutes.
i dont understand what theyre saying, but it sounds dope as shit so I fuck with it.
This whole thing gives me a very white 90s camping vibe and ngl i vibe with it. Like it's pretty decent. I could imagine being in the either 90s on a camping trip with some beers around a campfire listening to this.
A near-perfect album, "Say what u say" is kinda of mid. Everything else is amazing.
Full of bangers and doesn't dissapoint.
very very very similar to "what's going on" and "I want you" still decent, but also still repetitive.
i feel like anyone who hears this can agree that this music makes you feel happy. i was looking through my dad's old cd's and found this so I decided to give it a listen and I'm not disappointed. Although, I do think this album is overrated by critics such as Rolling Stones and I wouldn't give this album a 100 because I feel like it's repetitive at some point.
ok.... encore is complicated. because theres are song so shit that it will make u want to destroy your speaker and some so good that will move you to cry. like damn mockingbird and like toy soldiers are actually two monsters. it feels long and some songs r rely unnecessary. decent, but damn wtf is "my 1st song".
Like I did with "Thriller", I've been looking back at this score and I think it honestly deserves a 100 even though its actually like a 97. Like there arent any bad songs just "If I Had" gets pretty boring and because it's repetitive and I don't rely fuck with royce d 59. Otherwise it has some of the best storytelling from any album ever in the history of music. It makes u laugh, it can make u cry, it can inspire you, it can make u feel disgusted. So yeah this is my third ... read more
