Essential Hop Hop Albums East Coast.
This album was pretty good and definitely included some of the best rapping I’ve heard so far. I thought the production was kind of boring but it wasn’t bad at all especially for the time Ain’t no half-stepping is easily the best song and he puts on a great rapping performance on it.

Super Cool Album, probably my second favorite so far, I love there flow and the rapping is great throughout. The sampling was also really amazing and really added to tracks like It’s My Thing, and You Got To Chill

This album was not very good in my opinion. The tracks where I actually enjoyed will smiths rapping were very rare and this album is way to long for its own good.

I was ready to mark off this album as just ehh until the last song came on. Beautiful sample and surprisingly introspective lyrics for the time I think “Don’t You Know” is the biggest hidden gem I’ve found doing this so far. Essential Hip Hop Albums East Coast #14/63
According to AOTY this is only one of 6 must hears in the 80s, and it was the earliest album to ever hit Must Hear status and it’s for a really good reason. This album is terrific, Paid In Full and I Ain’t no joke in particular stood out this is definitely my favorite album I’ve heard so far but I still can’t see myself coming back to it too often, and there are a few lowlights like Chinese Arithmetic.
