Blinded By Fame is a brief Alt-Country exploration of love and religion. Instrumentally simple, but still quite effective at what the album sets out to do. I think that without the lyrical substance to this album, it would be far more susceptible to fading into the wealth of indie albums with this sound
Land of Pine centers itself entirely around its sense of atmosphere; It's cold, introspective, and distant. Pointing out the shortcomings of this album like the low production-quality or lack of focus is valid to do, but also ignores much of the point in creating an atmospheric work like this. I think what definitely IS fair criticism is the pacing. The album is long, which definitely hurts the listenability through a solid chunk of the runtime
Everything about the subject matter of this album is completely agreeable, but that's also sort of the problem. This isn't an album to provoke thought; it's an album to nod along to in agreement and say "yaas queen" to. I think that it's actually ALMOST decent. The melodies are there, but the songs feel far too polished and it can be beyond exhausting listening to the 50,000th song using flat violin crescendos to force me into feeling emotion.

Is Not For Radio not for radio? Not For Radio is not for radio, but Not For Radio also isn't NOT not for radio
Bonus points for the fact that I randomly came across the cd for this album in the dollar bin of a used record store
Flow is INSANE beats are INSANE I think I'm becoming a weeaboo but for Brazil
A pleasant listen, but not nearly as engaging as Jerkcurb's previous album which I enjoy quite a bit
Was interested in this album as opposed to other Ru girls just for the fact that the genres seem more unique than the Electro-Pop formula most queens end up going with. I think there's some groovy elements, but "8" maybe isn't the most exciting dance music I've ever heard
Theatre-core but make it GOATED.
I can quite honestly call the vibe of this album "magical" in a pure aesthetic sense. It's whimsical and so soothing in a way I haven't quite experienced with music before. This isn't to say the formula is "perfect," but it's so thoroughly charming, and the instrumentals are all really great
Maybe I'm a bit confused as to what they were going for outside of the quirky, spoken-word style lo-fi Rock experiment. Nice album cover, though
Feels just about right for Katya's brand. Absurd, in your face, comedic, and boundaryless.
I unironically need her to do more ASMR
I thought she was just one of those kinda cheesy "of their era" legacy artists; Diana Ross I was NOT familiar with your game
Now I know what Joey Valance and Brae would sound like if they couldn't rap.
It's crazy because this could ALMOST be something. The beats can be lots of fun and surprisingly hard-hitting, but bbno$ just truly has no idea what to do over them. It's like he WANTS to make goofy and chaotic music, but he's too scared to put an ounce of energy into any of his vocal performances or thought into his lyrics in the fear that he'll lose his nonchalant pretty boy aura. ... read more
If Jane Remover wasn't too scared to release more music that sounds like this, the world would be a better place
Pretty easy to recommend to anyone who likes good music. Explosive and emotional and frantic and passionate
Here's the thing... it does sound PRETTY good, but it also just feels almost wholly inauthentic. this album feels like a distillation of all the trends of popular music right now, with none of the thoughtfulness or intent. An easy to listen to and enjoy album, but sort of devoid of much of any substance
