Hip-hop, Neo-soul, Jazz Rap, r&b. Tyler grabbed some of my favorite genres and mixed them all together in a piece of art, How can I not like this.
I don't understand the hype around this, it's mediocre at best. Definitely one of the least creative soul albums oat
Idk how to start this, kendrick surprised us with an album outta nowhere and boy I'm so in for it, if this shit dropped in the summer it would've been the anthem, I like his "Fuck you" energy, I love his aggressive choice of beats, I love his ups and downs, heart pt 6 is one of the best songs ever made in hiphop history and y'all not ready for this conversation, hands down most enjoyable album throughout this year.
Big up for her to be able to deliver such beautiful vocals and outstanding performance at just 16 years old. Other than that the album just gets boring the longer I listened, maybe I'm just not into pop music ?
Whilst "rodeo" was an appetizer of what Travis Scott can pull off, "Astroworld" is the main course. This album is beautifully crafted and it certainly carried the trap era. Gotta give the features credit too because every single one in that stacked feature list delivered.
Some of those that work forces, are the same that burn crosses. Rage Against The Machine took the Master of Ceremonies title to a whole another level, This album feels like you're in a revolution. And rapping over hard rock beats is the way to do it
Brat this Brat that, everyone giving Charli XCX credit but Robyn actually did it before, the production level on this is on a whole different level, it's not something that I'd go back to but it's certainly good, it has those 2010 cartoon movie dance scenes at the end vibes, and idk why it reminds of Mbc 3's Hannah Montana.
take your mask off, forget about Sir Baudelaire, forget about Igor. it's time for Tyler Okonma, He's really proving that no one does it like Tyler, it's by far his best produced album, every single beat on this album is chaotic in a smooth way, it feels like a thousand shards glued together to shape a mirror. Dark Times by Vince Staples was my AOTY until this album dropped.
