Linkin Park, my first band ever but not the first band to get reviewed. I felt nostalgic all of a sudden so why not talk about one of my most heard albums. Hybrid Theory is no secret to anyone, anyone who grew up in 2000s knows what this is and has at the very least heard glimpses of it, afterall it is the most sold album of 2001.
Back when I heard it for the first time I would just finish it and play it again and again and again. It was just that addictive, I ofcourse eventually moved on ... read more
Spiritbox ripped off this album cover btw
Now that we got a harmless joke out of the way, let's talk about Dream State, a band whose frontwoman is no longer in the band and is deeply missed by the community.
This album is plain and simply a banger. Every song feels consistent and brings something different to the table. Production is also well polished and doesn't feel like modern slop.
Instrumentation blends in very smoothly with the samples in the background along with CJ's ... read more
My friend wanted to pay me to review this. Honestly just keep the money, I'd rather have my 3 minutes back.
If there's one thing that tiktok did right, it was blowing up one of the songs into the mainstream from this underground banger of an album.
Jar feels like a nostalgia album of the music that millenials loved back in early 2000s/late 90s. Here you get a mix of grunge and shoegaze making you feel like you're listening to Nirvana and Deftones at the same time.
So if that's the type of music you're looking for or just wanna hear something less mainstream, definitely check ... read more
The hooks that I love from this band are lacking quite a bit but still a good song nonetheless, can't wait to hear the full project.
Ben, we get it. You and the boys make peak rock music, but cmon man can we get that album already?
Sometimes an album doesn't have to be a must hear for a listener to have an interest. Sometimes true talent is hidden somewhere in the depths of music world. That's where this record comes in.
Welcome To The Neighbourhood is by far Boston Manor's greatest and most consistent project to date and I don't think anything they made before or after it will come even remotely close.
Songs speak about usual daily struggles in human lives. Drug addiction, no money, breakups, abuse ... read more
This is the type of shit you hear at your relative's anniversary birthday party where everybody is drunk and obnoxious, your horny single aunt dancing on the table almost flashing everyone with her saggy ass tits and your weird ass uncle staring at you and your underage cousin.
If you love Radiohead, happy for you
If my rating pisses you off, go outside and touch grass
Yes this is a mediocre album that tried so hard to sound ahead of time
Yes a lot of songs on this record are either mediocre or just straight up bad
Yes I do have other Radiohead albums rated higher
Yes they are in the yellow zone
No I am not putting them out of the yellow zone, cry about it
No I am not putting this out of the red zone, cry harder
Instrumentation is nothing close to ... read more
I've never listened to Depeche Mode, but I have heard people talk about them so I thought there's always a first time. Today is that time and I am genuinely surprised by this record. This to me sounds just like almost any 90s record a.k.a "ahead of it's time", then again this is coming from someone who hasn't heard a lot of music.
It has great production and the mixing is very clean, every track feels like a blessing to my ears. The singer while not sounding very ... read more
So before the new album drops, which is gonna be in year 2067, I need to make sure that I have caught up with every previous album and make sure they all have been reviewed. Ember is their darkest and heaviest album by far, you could almost consider this a metalcore album at some parts. And that is saying a lot coming from a band that is not even supposed to be heavy, afterall they are for the mainstream audience that you know...doesn't like metal? Anyways, we have a few fillers here and ... read more
Breaking Benjamin return, but unfortunately not stronger than ever before. I still think that this is a good record but whenever I come back it's always the one with the most recycling. Failure, Angels Fall, Never Again and a lot of other songs feels like they been written 50 times already. Bury Me Alive is an absolute banger tho. Also man that album cover is beautiful.
Either the critics were smoking crack or they got so emotional while listening to this and accidently gave it a lower score. Like don't get me wrong, it doesn't come nearly as close to the first three Benjamin records but there are still some amazing songs like the title track or I Will Not Bow. Hell, Anthem of The Angels even made me tear up a couple of times. Yes it does get repetitive, yes it does feel generic, yes Ben does say "breath" like 50 times in every track and ... read more
