I'm on this record !! glad to be a part of this awesome album
I revisited MBDTF while doing a deep dive into Kanye's work (stopping at TLOP for obvious reasons) and yeahh, this album is not as great as the ones that came before it. I think this album was probably the start of Kanye’s decline to where we are now in 2026. No one ever considers it that but it’s super obvious once u look at the album’s central message, which is “I’m better than u and there’s nothing u can do about it.” Sure, it has a lot of ... read more
absolute hidden gem of instagram music. embarrassingly terrible music
No idea why it took me so long to get to this when it's literally 20 minutes of peak girlie pop
SOO MUCH BETTER THAN AYL and it’s not rlly close. Super cool experiments with great sequencing and writing. I rlly hope that she continues to go in this path because DAMN the results speak for themselves. Outro’s still kinda lame but I get the idea now. It’s basically shteppi’s answer to the question “are you lonely?” No, clearly not, because if she was, she wouldn’t be getting all these messages. So I see the vision now I guess, but I would be lying if ... read more
I (and a bunch of others in a choir thingy lol) have background vocals on the last song !! it was rlly fantastic experience and the album came out fantastic too !! He absolutely cooked with this. This is a cohesive, mature album about growing to love life even though it kinda sucks sometimes. All of it is wrapped up in this beautiful atmosphere of positivity, sure, but it's more of the realistic, sobering feeling that we gotta live our lives no matter what keeps us down. It's great ... read more
this is just butt. Sure it’s pretty but it goes nowhere :( my goat is washed
Also slope ur delay sends .. I can literally hear the pop
The writing on this album is insane. Genuinely one of the most surprisingly amazing releases of the year so far. Like when I first saw the tracklist I was like, "hell no, there's no way this is good." Now I can't stop replaying this album at least one or twice a week. Crazy.
The ARG is fantastic! It's a great, terrifying story about some guy obsessing over ISSBROKIE to the point of killing her and taking her identity. However, this album fails to tell that story on every front. If I hadn't checked out the ARG before listening, I promise you I would've been even more confused. There's some great moments here, don't get me wrong, but most of the songs here are kinda whatever. Seems like she put all her effort into the rollout and almost none ... read more
While this is an excellently produced smooth Jazz Rap record, "The Internet Killed The Neighborhood" isn't doing anything neither new nor interesting at all. Yes, it has some pretty solid tracks, but there's nothing on this album that distinguishes itself apart from the countless other rappers doing this style. To any other rapper trying out Jazz Rap in the year 2026, please stop. There's nothing new to do in the genre that hasn't been done already. Stop trying to ... read more
(rating is for the deluxe songs, obviously)
