Thundercat really delivers on this album, not that I ever doubted him.
There is a lot of that signature Thundercat magic being delivered on here, with the features also pulling their own in their respective songs. It was wonderful to hear Mac Miller again with Stephen, Yachty and Rocky also really worked well on here too. WILLOW and Channel Tres’ songs really stood out to me as well.
While the second half kinda wanes a bit, it still fits very well with the sound of the album.
Good Kid’s debut album (yes, I’m surprised that it took this long considering all the EPs) brings a great mix of pop rock/post-punk that is very pleasing to the ear.
The choruses are very well executed and the instrumentation is very much the band’s signature style, which has been polished since their first project.
While I did appreciate the experimentation on Eastside, I think it needs a bit of tweaking to get right. Cicada is absolutely my favorite track on here, I love ... read more
She's still got it man. Love everything about this album, from Sheena's voice, to the instrumentals.
A great celebration of black culture that was also really fun to listen to.
Pretty decent, a bit underwhelming around the second half, but a good listen nonetheless.
Really solid project, was really worried with the long tracklist, but it stood pretty well the whole way through.
let me tell you that I TRIED to listen to this album and tapped out barely halfway through.
a lot of these just feel like nachos being reheated from frozen TV dinners
And if my first thought on every song i listened to is just "this really sounds like ______" then that should tell you something.
A really great collection of songs that really solidify ZTMY’s sound and also adds some uniqueness to some of it.
As always, ZTMY comes with those great, groovy basslines and powerful guitars, but for me it’s ACA-ne’s vocals that really shine for me on this. Huge standouts for me were: Medianoche, Hippocampal Pain, and lowmotion algae.
REALLY good album, loving the instrumentation on this one. heavy WillyRodriguez vibes, can't wait to see more.
ezcodylee comes onto this album with a great mix of punk and rage music that kept me engaged the whole way through. The style has really developed since Stunt and Die 3, and its great to see that there is real passion behind that sound.

FEEL ALIVE !
DIEHARD !
underscores fuckin KILLED it on here. really impressed with how this album turned out.
Joji’s Piss in the Wind feels piss poor.
I saw someone say something along the lines of, “it’s a bunch of interludes with 3 or 4 actual songs sprinkled in the middle.” and that perfectly sums it up. A lot of these songs feel half baked and too monotonous to even differentiate any of the songs, the features (minus GIVEON) were uninteresting, and Joji’s vocals left a lot to be desired.
For me personally, it feels like Joji’s quality has been declining ... read more
