Vince heads in a new direction, with a punk rock infused, political hip hop project, which is consistently great throughout, with a surprising amount of jams mixed in. This albums greatest strength, in my opinion, is also it's greatest weakness - it's incredibly consistent, with each track being just as good as the last, but I wouldn't immedeatly say there's any truly standout tracks, unlike his last project which had many, but was worse inbetween these tracks. The message ... read more
Like, it's not terrible, a lot of the tracks here are pretty good in isolation, but this is no where near the quality of any of Peggy's major releases since ever. He seems to really have nothing to say here, with the songs, while sounding good, feeling a bit underdeveloped at times (mostly due to a short length) , with the tracklist being quite bloated, feeling more like an EP or Mixtape than a full album, cause this shit ain't cohesive
On here, Peggy's rapping is the worst ... read more
Wow this is shit, not even like 'He tried something new but it didn't work out at all', more like, this is the culmination of other horrible work he's put out, tot he point where this is an incredibly bad listen. Bad singing, bad lyrics, bad features, bad production, all of it. At least Vultures 2 was unique in how bad it was. Only giving this an actual score, because the sound didn't kill me.
Like, this isn't terrible, in fact, it actually has a pretty great intro, which somewhat excited me for the actual album, but after that it just drowned out into a regular Drake album, not terrible, but really not anything special outside of like 2 tracks. Honestly, this album has the potential to be much better if he just cut like 8 tracks, then re ordered the rest of the tracks.
Perfected Tracklist (changing no songs):
- Make Them Cry
- (Could add Janice STFU, but that song ain't ... read more
It's not Simz's best, but it's still pretty good, I think that people are judging this wayyy to much based on the fact that she's normally a lyrical rapper.
I'm personally just not a big fan of the rage inspired sound, and some tracks could definitely be improved from a sound sense - she does sorta sound like a feature on the First Track. Other than that, this is a pretty fun project, and people on here are hating on it way to much. Would also say that some of the ... read more
Good rap rock mix, and shaping up to be Vince's most political album, after the smooth, more introspective Dark Times. Single makes me pretty excited for what we're gonna see here, though Im a little worried about lyrics that are a little too corny/clichéd
I'll admit I've never heard a song that sounds quite like this. I don't know what I was expecting after reading the tags for the genre, but I really don't think it was this. Anyways, it's a decent song, but could use some improvements, at some points it seems a little random to me idk.
Like it's pretty decent, with the production being pretty good, though definitely derivative of others, well executed. Lyrics are what a 12 year old would write, and I think that really sums up this album.
Admittedly, part of this rating is people saying 'North is up next' - people should really support small artists coming up out of cities and towns rather than adoring over the daughter of a billionaire artist who used to be good but is progressively falling off. Im also not ... read more
A nice smooth hip hop project, a very enjoyable listen, and with a decent amount of variety, with Rashad venturing into some equally smooth singing throughout the project. The themes of the project are obvious, tackling mostly themes of aging, new responsibilities, etc, about what you'd expect from a rapper in his 30s. Definitely introspective, and sometimes mellow, though I would say that it's overall on the happier side.
A few complaints include that the production can be a little ... read more
Honestly this is pretty good, needs time to grow on me a bit, but feels like a mix between ILDMLFY and Veteran. Seems less creative than both with this one. A bit worried that he chose this as the lead single, but his singles haven't been the best part of each project. The main thing that's worrying me is the 25 LONG TRACK LIST.
Probably will be his most commercial album, and somewhat like his version of KOTMS
This is definitely getting over hated on AOTY, but admittedly the song isn't up to the standard of the new abnormal, or even many of their previous albums. It sounds really unfinished, the autotune not really being mastered (surprisingly, considering that Julian has used autotune really effectively in the past), and the backing sounding a little hollow at points, but generally being pretty good. I really hope that they a) fix this song, and b) delay the album (if all songs are like this), ... read more
Not too bad, definitely an improvement from the Culture era, with the best part being that the new tracks are generally the best. Kanye genuinely gives a decent performance, but there are some tracks (e.g KING,THIS A MUST) where the performance is either AI or just really unenergetic, but in alternate he sounds pretty lively on 'I CANT WAIT'. Production is generally pretty good, but not incredible, and feels more like he's retreading his old production styles with a slight new ... read more
As per the recent on this website, as it grows people are unable to keep things with a high rating. This album in a single day has dropped like 4 points, though it will probably stabilise.
With this record, Slayyyter releases a brilliant electropop project, with a large mix of soundscapes, a story behind it, and creativity throughout. Each song here is pretty indisputably a banger, and genuinely don't think there is a proper low point on this track list. There is a actually a decent ... read more
Cool little neo-psych project, was very fun and relaxing to model clay to. Just pretty consistent and enjoyable, but due to song length, I don't really have a favourite song. The closest is probably ' Honey '.
Extremely impressive considering Mink was only 17-18 when he made this album. Could see this becoming the UK version of LIVE.LOVE.A$AP over the next few years. Mini clearly has an ear for hooks and choruses, as shown all across hear, as well as for production, which is consistently atmospheric, cloud rap beats across the project. His unique rapping voice definitely adds to this, similar to the way Danny Browns voice adds to his projects. Ultimately, the things which holds this back the most are ... read more
First half goes hard, second half is more laid back and smooth (also overrated). Pretty good, and continues Denzel's streak of consistency, but arguably could've asked for more in places. I definitely think this group has a lot of potential though, and am excited to see what they do for their next project. Only issue is, this group could easily fall into the trap of their next project essentially being a repeat of this one, which could cause them major setbacks.
God this is so mid. I listened to this mostly because I heard some buzz about it on Twt, I hadn't listened to the first edition. I didn't really have high expectations, but Lil Yachty can produce interesting stuff from time to time, so there was potential to be at least decent. However, this is just boring regular trap. Took me until about track. 5 to realise 'oh this is going to be the full project', no changes, nothing extra

Bruno calls upon old sounds to make this project, as he always does, but this time hits too close to his previous work, leaving a listen that feels like we have already heard it many times before. Mix that with pretty generic lyrics and static topics to create an album that, while polished and sounding nice, brings nothing new to the table. On my soul is probably the best track, but they're all pretty similar in middling quality.
Day of release: Who the fuck is tanking the rating of this for the whole day, this albums rating is falling off way more than it should be
This album is a great return to form, after almost 20 years, from Gorillaz. This album has a palpable message about the afterlife, moving on from death, etc. while not sacrificing any of the chaotic energy that makes Gorillaz so fun to listen to.
This albums soundscapes are just as good as plastic beaches was, this time being Asian / Indian inspired, and ... read more
A good introduction to keem, but the rope holds too much slack to make it A teuly great album. Keem is, on her, essentially a cross between 808s and Heartbreak Kanye (mostly in production) and Modern Kendrick (if less lyrical), resulting in a pleasant but not groundbreaking sound. All this from a 20 year old is extremely impressive; his future is bright.
