A wonderful song and the start of my deep dive into fishmans. I’ve only heard the live of this song and I couldn’t tell you which one I like better. The song is smooth and intoxicating to listen to. The vocals are always on point and the production is addictive.

Jane remover has done it again. This album is full of just great tunes that are really fun to listen to. While a lot of the tracks are not as complex as some of her earlier work it still instills a unique feeling as you listen. The tracks feel like home they're warm and I could sit by a fire while I listen to them. Jane continues to show her production ability's, each track has rich guitar tones and addictive melody's. The build ups on songs like spider create wonderful tension ... read more

This is my first introduction to acloudysky and it did not disappoint. They're's definitely a lot of Parannoul influence and thats a good thing, but im also glad they takes that sound and bring it into its own identity. The production is fantastic and is very unique in a lot of the songs. The relationship between the instrument's is tight, they interweave with each other to create complex soundscapes of noise rock beauty. But the instruments are not the only thing this album has ... read more

This EP is absolutely exploding my brain. Im writing this as i'm listening for the first time so I might change my opinions. Thunder is a crazy song the progression of musical idea to musical idea is brilliant. When the first large amount of noise is dropped on you it literally breaks your brain. When the music finally calms down it breaks in half so the saxophones can come in and grab your full attention. This song also has a great concept that leads perfectly into the next song. Blind ... read more

A lot of my feelings about this album match what I felt like about the prequel album so I won't repeat them. I think the reason I tend to like this album more just comes down to how tight the tracklist is. The song "'96 Neve Campbell" is one of my favorites, it talks about the idea of the final girl in horror films. Enlacing is also a highlight as it has probably my favorite instrumental out of any track on both albums and I love Lovecraftian horror. The tracks on here are ... read more

Horror continues to be such a unique genre in media. It is alone in creating a sense of fear and dread that most other genres don't do. Music is a unique medium however and horror is very underrepresented, but with this album that sense of fear and dread are very present. Each song on this album has a unique concept wether thats writing about a horror movie or a famous horror trope, each one is carried out with perfect execution. One of the most straight forward concepts on the album is ... read more

Jesus Christ this is a fucking awesome album. The tracks on this album are addicting. The sequencing of the songs is brilliantly done. Ive been listening to stop calling on repeat since I first listened to it. Every track on this album was wonderful. The lyrical energy in all of the songs is top notch, most people have commented on the title tracks lyrics but the final song on the album is so tragically written, its beautiful. From the moment the album starts you are thrown into a musical world ... read more

Melaina Kol - Roach Friends

This album feels like being trapped in your childhood house. I became aware of this album randomly through spotify(fuck spotify) just giving me recommendations. To build on my first point this album is homely but uncomfortable. The instrumentation is absolutely beautiful while never falling into a trap of repetitiveness. Their is an indie song on a lot of the songs but a good amount of them also feature a lot of synths and Digital sounds such as Lu and Nef. My favorite songs on here are Swan ... read more

Bro this might be one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard. I've been pretty depressed as of late and this album just popped in at the right time. Everything on this ep to me is almost perfect for the vibe its trying to create. A lot of the ideas can still be expanded on and have even inspired me in my own music. The counter vocal layer of screaming over the calm vocals is beautiful. Cicadas is a beautiful song the chorus hits me every time. The opener captures you instantly ... read more

David Bowie - β˜… [Blackstar]

A truly tragic album. I just listened to this for the first time and it really got to me. Since I love concept albums and Bowie this was up my ally perfectly. Just knowing that he dies shortly after release, this album is made 10x sadder. A concept album about his own death is a great concept. The themes in this album are carried perfectly by the sound. Each song is diverse and complex to listen to. Every part of the music comes together to create this album.

This Is the Glasshouse - 867

Album a day is over Im too lazy instead heres a normal review.

867 is awesome and incredibly enjoyable on repeat listens. Its so sick that college students made this and the amount of people that contributed is cool. The way musical elements blend in each song is beautiful. Each song is differs from the next, which is important. A lot of albums the songs can end up sounding the same, but on 867 each song stands alone while also being able to fit into the musical themes of the album.

Wow what an album. This album is special to me in many ways and I will go over them.

First off Dan and Tim making this with about 1000 dollars of equipment is inspirational. I want to create great music and money is the stupidest thing in the world. I pretty much risking my whole life on the fact of wanting to make a great album and Dan having a job where he had to clock in at 4:30 am is telling me that its possible. A lot of the cheap equipment they used ended up making ... read more

Decided to finally listen to this to see what all the hype was about. At first I thought it was going to be overrated, I will never make that mistake again on an album. After 3 songs though it didn't click for me. But then 2:50 into image, it finally hit. After that every song then proceeded to hit hard. The production on this thing is incredible to me. The way all the synths and sounds move around in your head. The singing and song writing are phenomenal. Up to the ... read more
