Really strong and memorable first half but after Out of Time the rest of album turns into forgettable synthpop minus a few good songs in Is There Someone Else and Less Than Zero.
My dad's car doesn't have an aux so we would use the radio. Everytime this song came on I immediately turned to another station because of how agonizingly bland and boring it is.
This is clearly a great album with many amazing tracks but it hasn't fully resonated with me yet. I won't deny its greatness.
Title track is a ten though
A near perfect album but "Somebody's Calling Me" is a bit of a dud
Have you ever been beaten by a wet spaghetti noodle
Because she has a twin sister
And you got confused and fucked her dad?
Well that’s how it feels to drive a Ford F-150
Ever since his debut, Steve Lacy has easily become incredibly popular amongst the "my music taste is so unique (favorite artists is Frank and Tyler) crowd. As a result, Steve Lacy's sophomore album ended up being one of the most hyped up releases of the year. Ignoring the hype, Gemini Rights is consistently good but doesn't have moments that exceed the norm. It's just a solid album
Favs: Bad Habit, Sunshine
Least Favs: Amber, Give You the World
The production and vocals are good but damn this song feels like it doesn't really go anywhere
Edit: (68-78) this ended up growing on me a lot
