It's a bit muddled by its production, but the energy & overall riffing's strong enough to pierce past that.
Part of me really wants to enjoy this more, as Limbs is one of those small bands I feel compelled to chronicle and root for. For what it's worth though, I think this record at least has some interesting concepts and the Screamo style worked with is at least competent, even if not as compelling as acts like Ostraca or Infant Island. To be wholly honest, Joyce Manor is a band who I have had a mixed past with. Aside from their self title which I enjoyed way more than I was expecting, they've at best been able to produce mixed results for me. Nevertheless, they are a band I intend to be a completionist about when it comes to their albums, so listening to this was kind of a shoehorn for January.

Part of me wishes I could get into this. By all accounts, it is not a poorly put together Death Metal record. It's got some decent riffs here and there, some solid energy in the performance, and an all around solid production value for this style.
