Please drop the Roy Blair / Kevin Abstract impression. Get a personality. Please. This wasn't a horrendously bad album, it was just pretty safe and boring.
Headache inducing music. I almost get the hype but also I'm scared by people who enjoy this. I wish I'd never listened to NoKap and blustery.
my second EP is out now !!!
so so proud of this one. really tapped into the worldbuilding elements of things and envisioned a virtual subtropical swimming plaza. read the bandcamp description for more info! ily if you check this out <3
Yeah, I think this is the perfect evolution of Claire's sound. It combines everything I love about Immunity and Sling into one amazing package. It draw upon that Carole King-esque sound and manages to feel nostalgic while still feeling so modern and fresh. It's an absolute marvel of an album.
Enough time has passed. This is a perfect album.
I cannot sing People Watching's praises enough. It's an ESSENTIAL British indie rock record for me, and will go down as a classic in years to come. It already feels like a classic in my mind.
Every single track here feels incredible. I can't choose a weakest track. Top to bottom, it's just top notch. The absolute euphoria of "Chin Up", the swirling synths of "TV Dinner", the subdued groove of ... read more
Mediocre raps all around. "ICEMAN FREESTYLE" and "Y FI DAT" are decent, but the rest is pretty forgettable.
Lacks any cohesive vision or sonic identity. Just a bland void of half-hearted trap and cloud rap that has very few highlights (I enjoy "2Planes", "Purpose General", "Face The Flame", and "Back Home", but I wouldn't say I *loved* any of those).
It's a real shame. I loved A DANGEROUS SUMMER. But Yeat has gotten the big label money, and settled into a vapid middle ground. I'm glad he's gotten sober. But fuck the people saying awful ... read more
just put out a new song under my restless pines project to encapsulate feelings of dysphoria and unease :) if you want more info take a read of the description on bandcamp !!! <3
— UPDATE (80, 15th April 2026) —
I've sat with this record a fair bit in the last few weeks, and I'm happy to bump this up. Carole's voice and songwriting is truly timeless, and absolutely shines throughout this album. I should listen to more of her work.

A very affirming and warm record from Carole. It feels very autumn-coded, and is something I could see myself revisiting.

To preface this review - I've been a huge fan of Holly for years. Her earlier EPs and her debut album soundtracked a large majority of my late teenage years, and I'm very attached to her music. But with all that said, this album disappointed me.
I've listened to this album 4-5 times since it released, because I really wanted to give it the best shot, and set out my thoughts clearly. So let's get into it!
Let's discuss the three singles first. "Die Happy" ... read more
Absolutely surpassed any expectation I had. Rico fucking killed it.
This project, to me, shows that Rico isn't just gonna stand in EsDee's shadow. He has his own distinct sound, and though he falls into the same flexing-esque lyrical patterns as EsDee, it just works on here, and I really can't be mad. Blackjack's production is a driving force to be reckoned with, and Rico flows over these beats.
And then I have to mention EsDeeKid's three features. Wow. He ... read more
This album is such a touchstone of British music, and such a brilliant introduction to UK garage. Mike sounds so at home over this production, his lyricism is so quintessentially British, the sample work is so fascinating. This all makes this record a real slice of life for a Proper British Geezer.
For the 36 minute runtime of this record, I was just wishing I was listening to I Love My Computer instead.
HALO doesn't have a USP. It just bored me. On rare occasions the production would grab me - but then we hear Tiffany back at it with the "I have a therapist! I have medication!" shtick and I get less interested again. Nothing here lyrically engaged me, production was mediocre... this was just an overhyped record.
It genuinely floors me that these two could put out such a boring body of work. Well, two bodies of work. This isn't a collab album. It's a MIKE album and an Earl album glued into one package. And both bored me!
POMPEII // UTILITY was a snooze. It lacked any kind of character. Both artists sounded like they weren't trying - and I meant that in a bad way. This just felt lazy. Insane to me how Earl can go from putting out a stellar record in the form of Live Laugh Love and then ... read more
Ambiguous Desire is an absolute triumph for Arlo Parks. A wonderful reinvention of her sound that is going to stick with me for a long time.
Arlo Parks is an artist very special to me. Her debut album Collapsed in Sunbeams remains a vital album to me, and although her sophomore album My Soft Machine doesn't stick with me as much, it has some brilliant highlights.
As soon as initial single "2SIDED" dropped for this record, I knew we were in for something special. That slice of ... read more
Absolutely stunning. I cannot wait for this album. Seriously. It's going to be so special.
BULLY is a shell of a Kanye album. It's largely rid of the coarse ideas seen on VULTURES 1 & 2 / the horrendous "Ye", singles, but still feels devoid of anything i'd ever want to revisit.
Production was passable at best and pretty painful at worst. Lyrics lack any kind of substance. But what more can be expected from an album built off the worst ideological period of Ye's life, an album that was built off AI and lacks any sort of intriguing narrative?

On this record, and across a lot of her music, RAYE gets lost in her grandoise and exaggerated vocal runs. It feels like she's doing too much, and the remaining features of her music become less important, and de-prioritised. Instead, the discourse around her says "yeah, but listen to her voice!".
RAYE is a good storyteller. But often, I find her music far too overproduced and in-your-face to make me want to revisit. Don't get me wrong, tracks like "The WhatsApp ... read more
