PinkPantheress - to hell with it

The length of the tracks is one of this EP's biggest strength, but also its biggest weakness, because I end up feeling slightly dissatisfied at the end of each track and wanting more, but this more almost never comes. The lyrics are cute, nothing too fancy, but enough to evoke emotion, even though I don't relate to any of them and am probably not her target demographic. Her sweet and silky voice and the catchy, partly 2000's-garage-inspired beats are ultimately the driving factor that causes me ... read more

As much as I hate to say it currently, this is my favorite album of all time.
I won't recommend streaming it, and I wish that we as a collective will be able to forget of this man's existence, but current events don't diminish the quality of the art. I'm mostly writing this review to get this off my chest.
Being both Jewish and a Kanye fan has been weird lately. I don't think he can recover from this unless he makes a huge effort to fix the damage he's done, however, I don't think it's going to ... read more

This album is the definition of mid. Listened to it in the car and for half of it I was dazed and half asleep.
Favorite tracks: Pussy & Millions, Circo Loco, More M's
Worst/least favorite tracks: Treacherous Twins, Rich Flex
Can't bother rating the other tracks since I don't remember them

Kendrick Lamar - Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers

This album has impacted me in ways you can't imagine.
This is definitely his best project. Nothing else comes even close
Favorite songs: Count Me Out, Savior, United In Grief, Crown, Father Time, Mirror, Rich Spirit, N95
Least favorite (but still good): Purple Hearts, We Cry Together, Auntie Diaries, Worldwide Steppers

This album shows that it's cool to be weird, and that's what I appreciate about it the most. As someone who's been an outsider their whole life, I could relate to a lot of the themes on this album. However, I usually don't find myself listening to most of the songs here, and more often than not skip them when they come in my spotify playlists.
Favorite tracks (from my recollection): Alien Boy, Let Me Down, Jerk, I'm Gone

Oliver Tree - Miss You

Honestly really liked this remix and thought it added a lot to the song, which is why it was really disappointing to see that it was ripped off of another artist.
I'm disappointed in both Robin Schulz and Oliver Tree for this shameless act. I honestly don't know if I'm gonna keep checking both of their music out after this

C418 - Minecraft - Volume Alpha

This album makes me fall asleep, and in a good way

Denzel Curry - Melt My Eyez See Your Future

Pretty good, rhythmical album with a lot of catchy, well put together tracks. The first 2 tracks alone deserve a grammy. Sadly, they don't exactly match the vibe of the rest of the album, but it doesn't take away from any of the other songs. The album still has a futuristic vibe that's very hard to replicate

Tuna -

Tuna -

Tuna -

On Eden Golan - Hurricane
"@Flurified You clearly have been shoved too much propaganda. These people weren't "partying outside the walls of a concentration camp". They were normal people like me and you who just wanted to dance and have a good time. I happen to have known one of them personally, and she was no different from me and you. Sadly, her aspirations were cut short by terrorists who hated her for her mere existence. But since you can't hear the screams of her close friends and family, I guess any excuse to justify her death will do to you 🙃"
On Eden Golan - Hurricane
"@Flurified Israel doesn't need to be 'victimized'. The Nova massacre should've already made that clear. Again - this is what this song is about. It's about actual people who have lost their lives. Read my reply above. It's insane how little compassion you guys have. And no, a drawing of a salad isn't political, even though the artist who made it lives in a society that is political. I'm not sure why we're even discussing this. It's completely irrelevant to the conversation. But while we're at it, I'd like you to explain how a child's finger painting is political. Or is it not considered 'art' to you?"

"@Marinos My point is - no, not all IDF soldiers are evil. Just because you want to defend your country from the people who just murdered 1,200 of your brethren, as you are also obligated to by law, it doesn't make you a bad person. It makes you human. Being a conscientious objector in these circumstances seems naive to me, and is also not a viable option for many. I don't like some of what's happening in Gaza, but I recognize that the war at its core is a just one. I suggest that instead of calling the people defending their families 'evil', you instead direct your anger to the upper branches of our government that don't hold the *actual* evil people accountable."
On yoonjisung's review of Eden Golan - Hurricane
"@Marinos This is something you don't get. You live abroad, so you don't feel the danger we live through every day. To you, refusing to join the army is a viable option, but we see it as a privilege. If more people will refuse to serve the country will straight up crumble and many more lives will be at risk. Besides, even if someone did want to refuse, overcoming the social obstacles won't be easy, as many places won't hire conscientious objectors."
On yoonjisung's review of Eden Golan - Hurricane
"@Marinos This is also wrong in many different levels. I have friends in the army, since we are all around mandatory conscription age. I also served for about 1 year before the start of the war, though I was in a non-combat role. This has nothing to do with genocide. We all feel a deep sense of duty to the country and its people, and recognize that in order to survive sacrifices need to be made. Now, this is not to say that there isn't a lot wrong with the army and how it's operating, but personally I'd prefer my friends, who are some of the kindest people I know, to be the ones serving, rather than murderous psychopaths and war criminals."
On yoonjisung's review of Eden Golan - Hurricane
"@Marinos And comparing Eden to King Von is actually insane. JFC. All she did was sing a song and you guys are treating her like a serial killer. Give the poor girl some rest"
On yoonjisung's review of Eden Golan - Hurricane
"@Marinos There's so much wrong with this response. I already answered most of what's written here in another reply, so I suggest you go read it first. Generally, it seems you have been fed a lot of false information by certain media agitators. I hope that you eventually see the truth and realize we are not monsters, but simply people who want to survive."
On Eden Golan - Hurricane
"@Flurified also, this doesn't even address anything I said in the post. I never claimed that this song doesn't have a political element attached to it. Of course it does. But it's not a "pro-genocide" song. In fact, it doesn't mention the war once. All it does is channel the emotions of grief that Israelis have experienced during the war. Same with Yuval's song. The idea that acknowledging the October 7th massacre and the countless Israeli lives lost is somehow "pro-genocide" only shows how keen you guys are to completely disregard the experience of the victims of the war as long as they're from the 'wrong' side."
On Eden Golan - Hurricane
"@Flurified I want you to look at an oil painting of a bowl of salad and tell me how it is political."
On Eden Golan - Hurricane
"@Marinos 1. Military conscription is mandatory for almost all Israelis, so in most circumstances she wouldn't have a choice. 2. That's not even true - Eden Golan received a medical exemption from military service. You're also ignoring the fact that most IDF conscripts (~70%) serve in non-combat roles, A.K.A 'jobnik' roles, and don't participate in the fighting in Gaza. And the whole 'propaganda' angle doesn't really seem valid to me considering Ukraine won the Eurovision with a blatant war song. so Israel's songs, which only focus on civillian grief, seem pretty tame in comparison."
On yoonjisung's review of Eden Golan - Hurricane
"@yoonjisung also, by "victim playing", are you trying to say the October 7th massacre never happened? Because that's what this song is about"
On yoonjisung's review of Eden Golan - Hurricane
"@yoonjisung If you didn't listen to the song, don't rate the song. Simple ah. "b-but I read the lyri-" yeah shut up. You're not serious about this. You're straight up admitting to breaking the site's rules by posting low quality reviews on a song you never listened to."

"הביקורת של 'זה לא ראפ באמת' על שירים רגועים יותר מרגישה די ילדותית לטעמי. הייתי רוצה שאנשים יתייחסו לשירים בתור מה שהם תכלס במקום להשליך את הציפיות שלהם על האומן"

"@Archerycraft18 Oh, I see. That's a hard joke to get without the proper setup. I do think my first question is more important though, so I'll ask again: Why even post this if your intent is not to be constructive?"
On Archerycraft18's review of Porter Robinson - SMILE! :D
"@Archerycraft18 And just a nitpick, but "I need to get my feet amputated"? That doesn't even make any sense. It should be your ears that are amputated. This just adds to my feeling that you were just being abrasive for the sake of it"
On Archerycraft18's review of Porter Robinson - SMILE! :D
"@Archerycraft18 I'm not going to block you. If you want to block me it's fine, I don't care, but I'm personally not into cutting communication with someone for having a different opinion. I never implied your criticism is meant to be constructive, because it definitely isn't, but I was hoping you were willing to hear me out and examine things from a different perspective. I guess I was wrong. I do have to ask, though: if it's not constructive, why post at all? What's the point of saying something that is the equivalent of "it's not my style" in the most obnoxious, tone deaf way possible?"
On Archerycraft18's review of Porter Robinson - SMILE! :D
"@Archerycraft18 that's not what "post-irony" means. You're just describing contrast. That's also not what 'virtue signaling' means. That's just my genuine opinion. It's also pretty stupid to ask people to block you. A site like this should encourage genuine and healthy discussion. Your opinion here in particular gives the impression that it stems from personal preference, and that you just have a disdain for the certain genre you associate it with, which is not at all constructive (you may correct me on this, but I don't see any highly rated 'hyperpop' projects on your page)"
