An incredibly well produced, culturally relevant album, tackling contemporary issues on top of fantastic, genre blending beats, with great songwriting, singing, and rapping.

While I don’t think this album is bad, Drake could’ve done a whole lot better with what he had. Most of the lyrics on here feel very dated, as he can’t stop beating the dead horse that is the beef with Kendrick or dissing random people, and the rest are just devoid of substance or good writing, which is disappointing as I really like a lot of the production on ICEMAN. Not the greatest lyrically nor sonically that I've heard from this genre, but this album was great and very enjoyable, keeping me hooked throughout the ride of enthralling beats and electrifying vocals.
Common’s lyricism and storytelling capabilities are on full display within ‘Like Water For Chocolate’, and that combined with the smooth, laidback production make for an amazing listen, despite the slightly bloated tracklist.
