The best Busta Rhymes album, or even one of the best rap albums ever. Not joking, but Busta Rhymes has been this deep to experimental rap with inspirations from metal and rock, for example "What The Fuck You Want!!" or "This Means War!!" have the metal energy around. There are also sample-heavy tracks like Gimme Some More or Everybody Rise, or the ones with hyped up energetic feeling (Iz They Wildin' Wit Us), I love the chaotic style of old Busta Rhymes as a ... read more
Not entirely a masterpiece, I used to love this album. But the replay value sets me off here. It gets boring after a lot of listens.
Although I rated it a 65, there are still highlights in this album like: A BOY IS A GUN*, ARE WE STILL FRIENDS? and IGOR'S THEME, mostly from the samples in old songs.
And also hidden features, sorry for spoiling here: Lil Uzi Vert on "IGOR'S THEME", Playboi Carti on "EARFQUAKE", Kanye West on "PUPPET", Solange on "I ... read more
What kind of album is this?
It's a sample-heavy album with MF DOOM or J Dilla influence. It has those vibes, it has that energy, could be one of the chillest album I've heard this year. This album reminds me of The Avalanches' Since I Left You era, with a blend of Wildflower by the same artists as well.
Mostly there are sampled speeches, but every speech is a great start for each song, the echoes give me goosebumps. I also love the unique sample uses like Talking Ben, Peanut ... read more
Clearly one of the most OVERRATED album ever, it's not that good y'all 😭😭😭
A pretty underrated album and a must-hear artpiece. The beats are fire. The lyrics and the features are good as well. Rest in peace Mac Miller.
The concept is incredible, the lyrics are great, but the beats and the flaws in chorus in GOD., and beat in HUMBLE., makes this album just straight out of the 80-90 range.
Insanely tough. Even though it's offbeat, the flows, the lyrics are incredible, I love Busta Rhymes on this, it's definitely one of the best song on Fireplace.
This is bad. One of my favorite rapper fell off really hard. I don't like the lyrics off this album, especially KING I love the beat but the craziest thing about the song is the antisemitic lyrics, also bringing phonk to this album I think it's not a good idea, it makes this album worse. Bad.
