good debut album, full of cute dancepop bops, not groundbreaking or anything but still a welcome addition to your playlists
fav tracks: come over, somebody, paris, moment, it's only a heartbreak, bye bye baby, coast to coast
least fav: please look at me
very enjoyable pop album, would've been even better minus some filler tracks
highlights: kings & queens, naked, omg what's happening, torn, so am i, sweet but psycho
least fav: tattoo, rumors
genre: folk pop/french pop/singer-songwriter
A peu près is an impressive debut LP from Lyon-native Pomme and a great display of her vocal talent. (+ it features an awesome cover of Jolene in french)
highlights: A peu près, Comme si j'y croyais, Adieu mon homme, La lavande, Pauline, On brûlera
least fav: A lonely one
highlights: in france they kiss on main street, shades of scarlett conquering, harry's house/centerpiece
Closely inspired by the 2000s euro/dance pop landscape brought by the likes of Kylie Minogue and Robyn,
"2lorenmoi" marks Lorie's departure from her usual teen pop sound and visual towards a more mature and sexier one.
fav tracks: Je vais vite, Play, Le Bonheur à tout prix !, 1 Garçon, Pas un Ange, La Reine
least fav: On ne grandit vraiment jamais, Loin des yeux
Ever wondered what a Gainsbourg album would sound like if it had a Tyler the creator type beat on it? Me neither, but still, you don't have to wonder anymore! Varnish is definitely an odd ball amongst his french-rapping peers right now and one you should keep an eye on.
fav tracks: LRQT, Bad Boy, FACE TO FACE, DAFT PUNK... Interlude, FFFLASHBACK !!
bruh she ruined the best pop song of 2020.. some crimes can never be forgiven
It's good for a debut album, vocally I can't really tell her apart from let's say Chloe x Halle or SZA but I guess she's still finding her marks and the production makes up for it, also the album is very short which is not necessarily bad given how cohesive the full project is (RnB albums that were released this year usually tend to drag on a little too long for me eg: After Hours).
Fav tracks: Moment, Dive, Experience, Touch Me
Least fav: Jaguar, Go There With You
i liked birthday quite a lot but this is plain awful, sounds like a blackpink b-side
folklore is a great showcase of taylor's pen, I feel like some songs could've been left at the studio but overall it was a pretty enjoyable experience.
fav tracks: the 1, cardigan, the last great american dynasty, seven, august, this is me trying, illicit affairs (this one hits the hardest 😞), invisible string, peace, hoax
least fav: exile (ft. bon iver)
soul lady by yukika is yet another addition to this year's great retro dance pop albums
fav tracks: soul lady, neon, yesterday, pit a pet, all flights are delayed
cool album, a bit experimental
favs: Power, Love i'm Given, Tides, Bleach, Hate Me
its cute, it reminds me of her teenage dream era, i'm kinda sad they got rid of diddy's verse tho
