Probabilmente uno degli album rap italiani migliori e più importanti di sempre. Testi pungenti e mai banali, beat ottimi, e un flow che non si trova da nessun'altra parte. Un album cupo nelle tematiche, come la società, l'introspezione, la televisione e i mass media, che dimostra benissimo il titolo 'La morte dei miracoli'.

For a debut album it could have been worse, but this record of mostly covers isn't as cool as the smug Bob on the cover implies it is. Even his rendition of 'House of the Risin' Sun', which is a great track, isn't that special.

Straordinario debutto della cantante catanese. Funziona meglio come album intero del successivo Confusa e felice (trovate la mia recensione anche per quello), e qui la sua grande voce, certamente particolare, accompagna testi e strumentazioni altrettando grandi. Prestare particolare attenzione ad 'Amore di plastica', 'Lingua a sonagli', 'Vorrei dire'.

A great step up from his debut David Bowie, this has one of his most iconic songs, the title track, but none of the other ones really get close to that level. It doesn't precisely have a bad song, which already makes it leagues better than the first one, but it only has 2 great songs (Space Oddity, Letter to Hermione) and a bunch of unmemorable stuff. 'Metallo non metallo' rappresenta un tuffo nell'elettronica che già in Acidi e basi era leggermente presente, ma che qui prende piena ispirazione dal trip hop e dall'IDM (vedi Aphex Twin) mischiandolo al classico suono Bluvertigo.

I have a bit of a tough history with this record: in fact, this is my third time listening, but my first actually getting to the end. I can explain this pretty quickly: the first two tracks after Never Meant are a SLOG. Yes, they are widely considered to be among the best, but I did not get into them at all, ever. Nel loro sesto disco gli Afterhours continuano un po' la direzione pop, ma allo stesso tempo ritraggono e tornano a un sound piu' rock. Gli Afterhours con il quinto disco (il terzo in italiano) provano a tuffarsi in un pop piu' sempliciotto, con risultati abbastanza misti. Per esempio vi parlo molto concisamente dei due grandi singoli: 'Bianca' è bella (da ascoltare anche la versione con Carmen Consoli), ma la title track 'Non è per sempre' mi sta sul cazzo.
