meh, I didn’t really enjoy this listen, to be honest. I felt it was just boring; the lyrics and vocals are not good at all, in my opinion. The only redeemable trait about this project is the instrumentation, but even at its highest, it still falls insanely short of what it’s trying to mimic. The amount of memorable riffs is honestly insane. I find this to be the perfect blend between hardcore and soft/dreamy, just such an enjoyable listen all the way through.

It reignited that spark, made me excited about music again, and even inspired me to start learning piano.

The uplifting energy of the album flows from beginning to end. ... read more

Is This It.

This is it. My favorite album of all time.

Like many people from my generation, I was introduced to The Strokes through their critically acclaimed 2020 release The New Abnormal, which instantly became my favorite album of that year. That sparked a deeper curiosity, and naturally, I had to explore their discography. Is This It was impossible to ignore it’s their most iconic record, widely regarded as one of the greatest rock albums of all time. And it didn’t take long ... read more
