*500 FOLLOWER SPECIAL*
Some albums simply have an undeniable status in music, being so culturally and commercially impactful that their influence and status carries on for generations beyond when they are released. As the highest selling album of all time and also arguably the most significant in history, it's a miracle it's taken me this long to get to it.
But now I finally have - and I completely understand the legendary status that this nine-song project holds. With a mix of ... read more
Over the past year or so, it's been clear that the direction of the UK underground has pivoted leaps and bounds. From the meteoric breakthrough of collaborator Esdeekid following the relatively quiet original release of Rebel to the plethora of similarly acclaimed artists putting their own spin on the sound, there has been a massive shift from the previous generation; and that continues with the long-awaited release of this tape.

Despite needing a couple of listens for me to fully click with the entirety of what is a considerably experimental, boundary-pushing tracklist, there's so much here that is genuinely incredible - and it's not just limited to a few tracks either.
The deeply ... read more
Ever since the release of the hotly anticipated return of the Gorillas in 'The Mountain', I've been unbelievably hooked on their music. With me exploring over half of their catalogue already, I'm really excited to delve into it all on here - and as this was the first I really took an interest in exploring next, Cracker Island is the first iteration of this string of reviews that will hopefully end with me capping off their entire discography.
This LP has been a contentious ... read more
