this album sounds like a circus orchestra that was possessed by angry demons decided to play while you were beaten up brutally by a muscled guy, and he suddenly also stopped hitting you to make you feel the numbness and confusion.
yet, so many great ideas in this album aren’t developed, making it feel like a bit of a mess.
awesome avant-garde jazz that starts with hypnotic melodies and slowly descends into madness, taking it with you.
Madness is a particular aspect of the record. Especially the sections where the vocalist is just absolutely going insane with her vocal range, which is surprisingly very well done. There is intimacy but also a sense of mystery in it, like it just poofed into existence. It’s long songs done right. It feels like a journey, it takes you somewhere with all those minutes. nothing much to say here. The writing is great and the melodies are delicate. I just wish this album did more
wowza I love avant-folk so much!
this album has strong, strong moments and very strong weak moments too. There is certainly a lot of potential that I feel was wasted, but overall, the first two track run is phenomenal. I feel like it lost itself by the third, and the big crazy shit that happened in it didn’t pay off by the fourth track (though it’s quite a good one).
I hope the next release by this artist only gets better, because this is already good. With some more depth and some ... read more
absolutely amazing album cover
-incredible, funky bass playing
-beautifully chaotic insane piano
-jack of all trades drummer that does amazing fills and adds admirable uniqueness
-vocal delivery i’ve never seen before in a japanese record, although inspired by Midori’s Mariko Gotō, Miya gives a much more loose delivery that matches the album perfectly though in comparison her screams do not have the same presence as Gotō’s, though it was beautifully executed still.

you can't beat shit like this. the piano, loud ass screaming, weird ass intro, sex...
short n crazy EP that manages to keep itself very concrete and have a very crazy grand finale where shit goes crazy and it all explodes. wish this wasy longer!
This makes me go absolutely insane. I found this band on accident and I’m so happy I did so.
BLEACH is a noise rock all female trio and you can see their chemistry in this record, it’s evident it was a team work. This album flows absolutely beautifully, it’s insanely well balanced, making it a very pleasant experience for the listener. It goes to a very heavy and packed song with fast pacing and then eases off the listener with a calmer track, sort of serving as a break from ... read more
Tons of personality and variety on this one. Some tracks are catchy and memorable, some aren't.
STAY OUT!
This album is absolutely glorious in its instrumentation, with a organized chaos of instruments that feel more like an orchestra with driving pianos, aggressive crash cymbals, and extremely passionate playing and vocal delivery. This album oozes with passion. These people like music.
My biggest issue (just like everyone else’s) is the vocalist. I mean, come on, did this guy record his line while wearing his braces and while 13? Honestly ridiculous and even seems like he’s forcing ... read more
godspeed you! black emperor delivers a much more memorable record compared to their next album with this one.
this is his best work period.
this is what aphex twin is to me, it manages to mix up absolutely everything that makes him great as an artist and put it into an album. The ambience, the creepiness, the batshit insanity. This is the most ''aphex twin'' aphex twin has ever reached.
