With BULLDAWG, Kenny Mason delivers one of the year's most entertaining and diverse albums. It showcases many high-energy bangers such as BULLKILLER, BOUNCE WIT ME ,JUNKYARD FREESTYLE and BLACK FIT that contain rock and metal-infused production, but still having trap drums as the groundwork. This is one of the most important albums of the year, Vince definitely has a lot to say. The writing is definitely the strongest part of the album, but the production is also very fitting and cohesive.
Some people like to overrate this album a lot, which is something im saying as a massive fan of denzel curry. While this album does have amazing highlights, there‘s a good amount of songs i never listen to. one of THE absolute BEST songs EVER FUCKING MADE. The vocals are amazingly hypnotising and are in my opinion the best on any Pink Floyd song. The floaty production genuinely makes me ascend every time i hear it and dont even get me started on the hook. Also the best one Pink Floyd have ever created. always been a little overrated, like this is NOT a 10 just cuz fantano said so. I dont go back to Fire, Freee & Kids See Ghosts and the only songs i really LISTEN to are Reborn and 4th dimension. The writing one here is good, nothing crazy tho. The production carries most of this album, but also isnt even close to Kanye‘s best work.
I recently listened to this because of how much i love perfect places, but this left me pretty dissapointed. I think Perfect Places is one of the best Pop songs of the 2010s, because of its grandiose hook and intimate lyricism, but in my opinion the rest of the album only delivers on the lyricism. Kim Petras is fully embracing the slutty and cunty attitude in the lyrics on this album, which works really well with her voice and usage of vocal effects. The production is just some great Electroclash chaos, with some of the best produced songs being Detour, I like Ur Look, Need For Speed and Freak It. amazing highlights with ghostface killers, rap saved me ric flair drip but the rest is a bit lacking in originality. The hooks from 21 here are not very good, even if he did step up his verses from the snoozefest that was savage mode 1. offset honestly carries this project, with metro producing some of his most eerie and atmospheric beats yet.
Still amazing, easily one of the best produced albums of the decade with great features and lyricism aswell as good flows.
This shit is NASTY, Rome delivers amazing bars with a tight flow over a great beat from denny laflare.
