100 FOLLOWERS SPECIAL REVIEW!
I’m a little late but thank you to everyone who helped me reach this milestone, even if half of it was just me following random people in hopes they’ll follow me back. I actually got here quicker than I thought I would.
Strawberry Jam is a personal favorite of mine and one I’ve been waiting to review for a while. It’s technically Animal Collective’s fourth album since the actual formation of the band, but it’s really their ... read more
Surprisingly pretty boring and sterile considering how good the Dangerous Summer EP was. There are some good songs, but even the good ones have essentially been done better in another form on a different Yeat album. Also, a lot of the features feel really out of place, but tbf it would be almost impossible to make hearing grimes, yb, and Elton John within a span of five minutes feel natural. Especially on a Yeat album. I will probably never listen to this album again but it’s still worth ... read more
This sounds super gleeful and I think it’s better than the last album but it still suffers from being too short. I like the melodic parts, it kind of reminds me of Sayako but weirder.
I really liked gingerbee’s EP from last year so I had pretty high hopes for this album. I thought the single was great which furthered my anticipation. Fakemink really is talented and he can be a good rapper when he’s trying. He had an incredible and diverse run of singles last year so I had high hopes for this, but it ended up being pretty one note. I think any one of these songs would be good as singles without the EP but as a whole they’re just kind of boring. The beats are all good though and I do really like his performance on Milk & Honey. Hopefully these are just throwaways or something and his album will be more ... read more
This is actually a really cool sound; I think both the vocals and the beats are consistently great and catchy and I’ve never heard ambient music incorporated into rap quite like this. The thing is, it’s pretty long and almost all of the songs sound super similar, so it does wear on the ears a little. Still a good album though. I know Twoxp probably won’t see this but if you do, good job ( I know you don’t know who I am)
